Notice how women like this are not willing to make any significant sacrifices in their own lives, but are perfectly happy with forcing their children to make enormous, lifelong sacrifices in their place.

Mom must have her perfect Mr. Right or no one--even if that means her child growing up without a father--the idea that she should be the one to compromise and sacrifice for her child's sake, by marrying a man who would make a decent, loving father (even if he isn't her ideal mate) so that her child gets to have a far better childhood, and a lifelong relationship with his/her father, isn't seriously considered.

All of the rationalizations boil down to the woman justifying being utterly selfish, while convincing herself that this is somehow the best thing for the child too, so she doesn't have to feel guilty about putting her own wants and needs before her child's (with her child making the sacrifices when any have to be made).

There's an unnerving undertone of eugenicist bullshit in every one of these little rants I see about how "biological fathers aren't important." Women like this believe they should be able to chase their Darwinian instinct but of course, men cannot.

If they truly believed biological parentage didn't matter so much, they would not go through expensive and intrusive IVF attempts. They would simply adopt.

Their game plan is to play eugenicist at the sperm bank and then try to find someone else to help pay for it all. Like a sort of up-front planned cuckolding.

If she doesn't want a man right now or ever to have a baby with, what's the big deal? Marrying a man just to help raise the kids is ridiculous. If I were a single father I'd never marry for that reason. That she's attractive and could probably get almost any man she wants is irrelevant. If she's up to the challenge of being a single mother, let her. I'm honestly surprised that this is even newsworthy.
