I wanted to let you know after a ten month long battle with CRA to determine whether or not I am a parent because I have a penis... I am proud to tell you all, that today I received my backpayment from the tax man, after being denied the ability to claim my son on my taxes, because I am a man, and for no other reason, parentage was never dispute.

For those of you wondering CRA is Canada Revenue Agency (Our IRS), their policy is to fight the man on any claims for taxes for their children, even when parentage isn't in dispute. The law even says preference is for female parent, which has in some cases even been held to be a new wife. For Canadian men going through this, the section of law is 122.6(f), of course flagrantly disregards S. 15 of The Charter.
