At work I have seen many women who take maternity leave over and over. They get paid maternity leave by the government, they have an easy job waiting for them when they come back, and any other expenses are covered by the husband. They spend their lives living in luxury and not working, playing with the kids, etc. Whenever I see this, I feel some resentment because it looks like this lifestyle is bankrolled by others and the mother is taking advantage of others, but is this a unfair reaction I have? Personally if I had a partner and she wanted to do this, I would object strongly because I feel she is trying to take advantage of me, so if there are men out there who are willing to pay for their wife doing this, what made you decide to do this?
