For reference I'm a 19 year old dude entering my first year of uni. I feel like my game is pretty damn good – I think I've developed my own style, I generally succeed with girls, with the ones I don't succeed with not bothering me very much. However, with most of these girls I don't truly have a connection. I may feel something reminiscent of a connection for a short period of time (usually before I hook up with them) but then it quickly dies, leaving me feeling unfulfilled in terms of love. Every so often, however, I'll meet a girl that I'm interested in more than the others, and of course I try to make something of it, but I usually won't drop my other prospects until theres something more serious.

However, 1) I always find that these girls are much harder for me to obtain, it could either be because I subconsciously act different around them, they're usually hot but also have a great personality making them harder to get, etc.

How can I get passed this and 1) meet MORE girls that I may be interested in and 2) Actually pull through and get these girls and not fumble?

It's very tiring for me, and it makes me feel a bit sad and makes me question my value a bit.

I've also tried to 'settle" and create something a bit more serious with girls that may not be my first choice, usually as a result of their personality, but I quickly get bored/annoyed with them and end things

I just want something real, that will make me feel things, connections, love, etc.

I've felt that in the past and I've been longing for that feeling ever since.

Please hit me with some advice.
