This is my experience over navigating dating for a long period of time, very conscious of all the process.

When I first started talking to women I would do it in a very innocent, detached, fun, zero pushy way. I was young and was too shy to meetup so I just enjoyed talking. To the point that women would go crazy on me, literally trying to force me to meetup and me being reluctant to do it.

Then I started dating guys, and after dating my first I started being much more pushy and direct about meeting up. Which made my vibe overall too intense and seemed needy of seeing them. This brought bad results which made me start thinking that there was something wrong with me. That I had to change how I act, to protect myself and become aloof, more serious and dont show any kind of intensity. Seem harsh. I studied the red pill teachings and had partial success. I mean partial because even tough I had dates and such I never felt I could truly connect being myself using this concepts. Also I would have a very CONTROLLED approach which prevented any kind of true feelings developed for the other person.

Now, I am dating again and trying to go back to my initial way of being. I am a "nice" guy, I believe I come close to being the sort of "perfect" guy girls and boys want. That is my way of being. I will pay attention to you, talk about interesting things, kind of disney. Its how I am. I dont push for meetups, my approach is just seeking genuine connections not sex or romance. And seems to be working so far.
