What is the point of this question?

People try to change things they perceive as problems. In most cases, not everybody is going to agree on whether the status quo is problematic or not. If the faction pushing for change has enough influence, it's going to happen, and other people are going to be affected by it, whether they like it or not.

This isn't limited to feminist/SJW issues, this happens in literally every situation where there's conflicting opinions about something.

Problematic is a word often used in debate and discussion as a way for one person to let the other person know that their behavior could have some sort of problem without escalating the observation to an insult. It's a useful way to help someone understand people's negative reaction to their behavior.

Why should you care about what feminists or anyone else find problematic? Well I suppose it depends. It depends on the validity of the claim (that something is, in fact problematic) and also on your own ability to empathize. If you're the kind of person who doesn't care if they're offending someone else, it's really your own perogative.

Problematic has to have a good persuasive explanation of why everyone should recognize this as problematic in order to be effective. So if you're just throwing the word around with no convincing argument, yeah no one is going to care.

"Problematic" is a nebulous term that allows SJWs to sidestep the legwork of designating an actual problem with the behavior and instead use a thought-terminating cliche to label something they don't like as something nobody should like.

If something could possibly lead to problems, they can sweep it in with the rest of the though-crimes.

You know what's problematic? Playing in a golf league. It may lead to losing the game. If there are 10 players, there are 9 unwanted outcomes.
