Numerous posts have been made trying to justify why it's not creepy for men in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond to date 18 year old women, and these posts frequently incorporate explanations that men evolutionarily are attracted to these women because biology makes men attracted to fertile women and youth means she has more child bearing years ahead of her. It's just biology!

The problem is that girls typically finish puberty between 14 and 16, meaning that if one were, as is claimed, attracted to fertility and maximum number child-bearing years, they would be attracted to these girls right around this point. And yet 100% of men here who make these claims firmly state that their attraction, driven by instinct and uncontrolled by conscious thought, does not extend to girls under 18. It seems a staggering coincidence that evolution and biology, so set on driving men to be attracted to young, fertile women, would yield at the exact legal age of majority with unerring accuracy.

What do you think the explanation for this is?
