Mr Buzz Killington checking in. While this trend of "instagram pseudoinfluencers asking for expensive dessert just to take pictures and refusing to pay for it" may be true, that wasn't the case this time.

These girls were just being overly rude and disruptive. Apparently one complained about ordering a salad (and the waiter supposedly brought something else or a different type of those they asked for) and the waiters, trying to defuse the situation, offered them a piece of cake as some sort of "reparation" for their inconvenience. They were still being rude, arguing "Why would I want to eat your cake?" so they got fed up and organized an impromptu meeting between their faces and the sugary desserts.

On a sidenote, it seems a lot of publications think this was a viral ad/publicity stunt organized by the restaurant.
