The biggest fight I ever had with a girlfriend was my live-in. She didn't have a job at the time and I was basically paying all our bills and definitely was making an occasional cellphone and car payment for her.

Whatever we were young I had money she didn't. It was a dynamic of our relationship that at that point I had accepted.

However... she got her $400 tax refund for what little she did work the previous year and walked in the house with a $375 coach purse.

Honestly if she would have offered to use her check on some bills I would have probably told her to keep it or go buy some clothes whatever. But the fact that she was so adamant about "its my money i can do whatever I want"

Great. Take your money and go do whatever you want then. She acted like I was a total asshole for questioning the purchase and I just couldn't get passed that even with the next day BS apology.

I was so furious man. Its been over 10 years and I still remember how mad I was that day. That was the day I realized I didn't have a girlfriend. I had a dependent roommate that touched my junk a couple times a week.
