True story: Back in November of 2013 one of my buddies was having casual sex with a girl and then she wanted a relationship. He said no and then she threatened to cry rape. She did and he was investigated. Even though he had texts that prove she was making a false rape claim he was still under investigation for a year. Because of this he wasn't allowed to deploy with us, and he missed a promotion, making him miss out on thousands of dollars. She completely fucked up his life for a year all because she was mad he didn't make their relationship official. And of course she wasn't charged with anything.

We also take any false allegation very seriously because there can be very serious consequences for the people that get arrested for those offences, particularly rape because rape has a stigma attached to it and it can ruin people's lives.

I will believe that once she is sentenced appropriately. I wonder if the two soldiers can sue her civilly for damaging their reputation and loss of work and employment opportunities.
