What are you proud of this week?

That I started RPW and began reading The Surrendered Single.

What aren't you proud of? How can you improve?

I feeling kind of lonely and needy. I think I can fix it by calming down my thoughts and getting more love for myself.

How have you added value in your partner’s life in this past week? (or friends, family, etc if you aren't in a relationship!)

I have been acting less dominant and pushy, the people around me are enjoying my company more.

What was one special moment you had this week?

Got invited out somewhere.

I just want to make sure that I finish all my reading and keep up what I have been doing so far.

1. What are you proud of this week? Have you improved in any areas? Yesss, I’ve been logging my diet. I have a lot of digestive issues so this is crucial. It's not so much for losing weight, since I'm at the weight I want to be, it's more for being aware of what I eat and making sure I don't do anything that will upset my stomach.

Drinking 3-4 litres of water every day. Still zero caffeine, but it’s a medical thing now so I really can’t go back. It has been good for my sleeping patterns (7-8 hours a night, but did pull a fairly late night for one project)

Completed all my assignments, finished a project for a deadline. I’ve also MASSIVELY cut back on my spending by logging what I spend each day. It’s making me way more aware of where I’m putting my money. My budget is tight, and if I want to make travel possible with my boyfriend, a good chunk of my money needs to go into savings.

I’ve somehow kept my room tidy. This puzzles me, because when I’m in bachelorette mode and super busy I usually let things get disorganized. So…yay!

What aren’t you proud of? Bachelorette mode. Partner is away and I’ve gotten sloppy with my hair, makeup, and outfits. I’ve been doing freelance in my pajamas. It’s icky and gross. I also didn’t exercise enough, only 4 times. This was partially due to pulling a near allnighter for one of the projects.

I was also falling into a negative mindset with my freelance career. Thankfully my mentor gave me a good slap and reminded me that I need to be doing this work for myself, and not just ‘give up’ on a piece when I feel like it isn’t going well.

I am also not proud of how much time I wasted on reddit. Certain threads in certain subs had me a little riled up and I let it get to me. I need to stay detached from this stuff though. It's more important to focus on improving myself, working hard, and contributing to my partner’s wellbeing. The internet is a time-sink and I need to be careful this week.

How have you added value in your partner’s life in this past week? I haven’t been annoying at all while he’s been on his fishing trip. I haven’t worried or hamstered once. I’ve just told him I love and miss him and I send him photos now and then. :) I thought I’d be worrying away, because he only turns on his phone to tell me he’s alive pretty much, and they could lose reception out there. But all is well, and i feel quite in control of myself :)

What was one special moment you had this week? My piano student getting 93% on her grade nine levels (the average is 65-70). My other piano student playing Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor flawlessly for the first few pages. These kiddos blow my mind, I can’t believe how hard they work. I am so incredibly lucky to have amazing students for this job.

I also like how often my boyfriend asks me for pictures :) It makes me feel special. He’s amazing. I love receiving photos from him where he’s fishing with his friends and looking super happy.

Exercise daily. Just do it. No excuses.
Stay off the internet. You don’t have time this week.
No more bachelorette mode. Wake up, get ready, look nice at the minimum.
Positive mindset. No matter what career or life obstacles come your way, tackle them!!!!

What are you proud of this week? Made Mac and Cheese for the boyfriend and really enjoyed it. Had seconds and wanted a to go plate! Winning!

What aren’t you proud of? How can you improve? I cannot for the life of me get these 4 extra pounds off. I'm so upset. I'm done with school right now so I should get back into my IF routine. Also I've been missing my community group sessions and I'd love to get back to that.

How have you added value in your partner’s life in this past week? (or friends, family, etc if you aren't in a relationship!) Other than just being someone that allows him to be himself, I can't think of anything. He pushed me a bit past my comfort zone this week but we talked about it and all is well. I wouldn't want him to feel censored by me or around me and he appreciates that I'm considerate of that.

What was one special moment you had this week? Snuggle time :3

Hit the gym. I refuse to become complacent with weight gain. No more banana nut bread in the mornings!! XD
Do some foundation work for my blog. I'm thinking politics/lifestyle!
Look into buying a car. I'm so over the metro/bus system. People getting stabbed or killed, smoke and fires on the subway trains, shady people in general...no thanks.
Enforce my boundaries. I reached out to someone I informed I needed space from -- she ultimately thinks I cut her out of my life (because I needed space) and so she's mad with me. I almost went into people pleasing mode but I didn't jump into JADE, I just accepted her feelings and carried on. I feel good about that and I want to continue it.

What are you proud of this week?

I'm really proud of myself for stepping up my game with regards to weightloss. Last week I had quite some emotional eating episodes and thus didn't lose any weight, but this week so far it's been going great and the number on the scale went down again. I also did two new booty workout from the Nike Training Club app (it's amazing!) and the soreness is amazing. I've been lifting with my boyfriend for some time now, so I didn't think I would feel it the next day, but oh man I was so wrong lol.

What aren’t you proud of? How can you improve?

Currently I'm trying to lose some weight using MFP and CICO and as a result I've become very inflexible with regards to changing dinner plans etc. My boyfriend and I don't live together, so we don't always eat together but I always love(d) cooking for him, but now I'm just stressed out about my macros and hitting my protein goals and bla bla bla every day. So when he e.g. plans a surprise dinner or suggests to go eat at a restaurant while I didn't plan for that in MFP I can't really enjoy it or just tell him I'd rather go another time as I don't have enough calories left to go out for dinner :( I really really want to stop this as I hate being fussy about food and the fact that I'm a vegetarian already makes me a "fussy food person" in his book. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

I think I've added value to my boyfriends life this week by leaving him alone/giving him his space. Normally we spend a lot of time together and see each other almost every day. However, his best friend just came back from a three month trip to SE Asia with his girlfriend and I know they have a lot of catching up to do.

What was one special moment you had this week?

My boyfriend and I go to the gym together to do some weightlifting at least once a week and I always really enjoy that. Monday I hit a new PR on the benchpress and that was just really nice. At first I was not sure whether it would be too much weight for me, but he cheered me on and motivated me to do it, and when the last reps of a set would get really heavy for me he said stuff like "You can do it" or "Just one more". It really made me feel like we were in this together as a team :)

WORKING ON MY THESIS!!! I've been procrastinating and postponing a lot so this really is at the top of my list right now
Tidy up my room while listening to a nice podcast or some music after my 1st draft thesis deadline Friday
Continue eating at 1200 kcals
Lifting weight at least every other day
Step up my make up game. I used to love playing with make up in high school but nowadays I just find it to take too long in the morning and I have the idea that my skin is better when I don't use any blush/foundation/concealer, but I know my boyfriend really likes it when I wear make up so I want to do wear make up at least 3 times this week.

1. What are you proud of this week? I've been to a few social events with my SO's social circle, and have been getting on very well and fitting in with his friends. This is challenging for me, as I have very little in common with these people, and find small talk a chore. I know he really appreciates my efforts though, as he always tells me how good it was to have me with him at whatever event it was.

2. What aren’t you proud of? How can you improve? I've started working afternoon/evening shifts again. This has really thrown off my dinner cooking goals. I think I might need to invest in a slow cooker and prepare meals in the morning so they are ready when I get back from work. If anyone has any tips for me, please share!

3. How have you added value in your partner’s life in this past week? (or friends, family, etc if you aren't in a relationship!) I've attended social functions with him, helped him with the gardening, and done my usual cooking cleaning routine (shoddy on the dinners though!). I've also found it super easy to be pleasant around him (who knew, the less awful you are, the more lovely he is and therefore the more lovely you are? Thank you, RPW!)

4. What was one special moment you had this week? I was sitting by the fire with my love, giggling and messing about, and he looked down at me and said "You look so beautiful tonight." He rarely comments on my appearance, so that was lovely, but just the whole night was so joyful and wonderful and that was the best moment of it.

5. Write down your goals this week, as well as how you plan to tackle them!

Get this cooked dinner thing happening again! [Will work out a way to do meal prep in the mornings...]
Try to carve out some quality time in the evenings to work out with him/go for a run with him or just chill out and read together. Work is getting hectic again for both of us...[By getting chores done early in the day, I should free up some more time later on.]
Do some exercise everyday! [I'm writing up a weekly plan, and scheduling in exercise in my own time, as well as with my love a few evenings a week.]

What are you proud of this week?

I am really proud of the fact that I have been working 14 hour days and still remain pleasant. Not always peppy but not bitchy.

What aren’t you proud of? How can you improve?

I am not proud that I have to work so many hours. It is totally my doing and as much as my SO says to chill out, I just can't. I have to get some stuff done and will just be filled with anxiety if I don't do it. I feel happier working more hours and am able to be more pleasant around him. I just don't think he gets that if I don't do this I will be a sour puss. I don't know what to do about this.

Let's see.... I don't think I've added value to his life but I don't think I've detracted from it either which is a good thing for me. I used to get wicked needy and emotionally starved when I was in work mode so this is a big step for me personally.

What was one special moment you had this week?

Yesterday we had a conversation about him moving in. Not without the ring though. However, we were talking about things like if his kids came to live with us. His mom coming to live with us. At the end of the conversation he said "you are the most thoughtful, caring, and loving person I have ever met. I'm so lucky to have you." Insert blushing :)

OH WAIT I have another one. Last night when we were watching tv after working for many hours, he asked me why I had given up on yoga. I told him that I hadn't but that it was put on hiatus. He said "well you need to have balance in life, that is important too!". Now I just looked at him and told him "you are my balance. This moment right now is my balance. Us being here sharing time.... is my balance." He said he was honored to be that for me and smiled a cheesy smile. We have such amazingly intimate moments and they have NOTHING to do with sex.

I plan on working working working and that is it. The feminine stuff has gone to the wayside but there is an end goal to this. This is temporary. I refuse to let it be more than a two week period of my life like this.
