. Your friends or people who like you will not do that for you. Your friends are going to tell you what you want to hear not what you need to hear. i disagree with this. everyone has one friend that is brutally honest, but people don't normally GO to those folks for advice.

A psychological state is considered a mental disorder only if it causes significant distress or disability. the mental distress among trans people is so high, they're among the highest rates of suicidal, drug use, and other high risk behaviors in the US among ANY demographic period.

i would feel the EXACT same way. people with suicidal ideations typically have higher rates of mental illness. For LGBTQ people aged 10–24, suicide is one of the leading causes of death. LGBTQ youth are 4 times more likely and questioning youth are 3 times more likely to attempt suicide, experience suicidal thoughts or engage in self-harm than straight people. Between 38-65% of transgender individuals experience suicidal ideation. Source: https://www.nami.org/Find-Support/LGBTQ The prevalence of…

if my bf was trans, i'd leave him. if my husband was trans, i'd leave him. if my child was trans, i'd probably not disown them but i'd make my disgust pretty clear. i also would retain original pronouns they were born with and call them by the name i gave them.

they are literally suffering from mental illness, yes. i don't JUDGE them for it. they're all covered under ADA but they dont want to be cuz who wants to say they're mentally disabled. if the only way to treat extreme gender dysphoria is to surgically alter your genitals and take hormones and have everyone in your life play along that you're something you're not and that biological sex is just some gobbleygook in your heads that you can just change overnight, then yes.....that's an issue. should…

You are arguing that as a result of becoming a "woman" you're having stupid thoughts and are less rational. How is that not insulting?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/17 06:24 PM
5

I suppose I am, yes. If you have to transition, you're admitting to mental illness that requires treatment. It's a public acknowledgement that you aren't rational on your own. But i don't see that as an insult.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/17 06:19 PM

most trans people undergoing HRT for the purposes of transitioning are usually diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria, a mental illness, a medical issue that informs people that you cannot think rationally. its not the estrogen, is what i'm saying.

I personally read a lot of manga, watch new anime that comes out, try to cosplay, and play video games (mainly JRPG and MMOs). My BF regularly plays a shit ton of video games (I don't pay a ton of attention to what he's playing, but it's not casual games like CoD or anything - ARPGs) and is regularly playing/drafting magic. Magic....wow that's a throwback. yall some NERRRRRRRRRRRDS <3 <3

The guy just has to show independence, self-reliance, and competence. That the woman making money isn't the reason he's around. That he has his own drive and ambition, even if that means he will never ever make as much money as she does. agreed :D

Never bothered me in the least, and I encouraged her every step of the way, until her career aspirations made our plans for marriage untenable. Sorry to hear that. In what way did it do this? I've always been partners with my significant others. What's mine has been theirs and vice-versa. When she wins, I win. Most importantly: WE win! I love htis mindset :D
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 03:07 PM

its mostly a mindset and desired solution forward for black communities. its not like an organization with a strategic plan or anything. I think of hoteps as the standard black american mindset before the civil rights movement of the 60s.

When we were dating for about 6 months, I got super pissed when I found out she got a payday loan. Drove her over there, handed her the cash to pay it off. I love a man that takes charge like that! How long did yall date before getting married?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 02:53 PM

Men dating below isn't an example of weak men wanting their ego stroked 24/7, it's an example of men with a tremendous drive for success. I never said it was?

It only really seems to be women who are preoccupied with this idea, feminists in particular, since their whole outlook on the world is about power dynamics between men and women. Honestly, I think the "power couple" idea is how prole level folks look at UMC and higher marriages. Like when both spouses are from good backgrounds, good schools, make great money, in THEIR mind, they're a power couple. In reality, that's the norm for marriages on that level.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 02:42 PM
1

ah. i say that cuz your mindset is very african lol
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 02:39 PM

i think black africans from central africa are the oldest modern race, yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 02:39 PM

I would actually prefer it, the more she makes the better. But it's really rare for a woman to be okay with making a considerably larger salary than her husband. are you an african? :V
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 02:37 PM

Maybe its just me. But conversations about how "we should get this" and "I bought X", or "Its just X more ..." are really annoying from a person who does not contribute financially to a relationship. Especially when that same person talks about being "equal". I can understand your view and I honestly respect it. I think that's why I think most men can tolerate a SAHM who takes care of children --- that's her contribution. Whereas if she's just a SAHW who doesn't work, a lot more men are turned o…

We share finances 100%, use budget software, and heavily plan major expenses. hmm. i can see how this is what it comes down to. if you have a joint account, in my mind, you don't see who gave what. you just see your shared money in the bank. i prefer this option. i imagine its harder to have such a deep earning discrepancy while dating though.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 02:29 PM
2

i'm sure some Hoteps say that. I personally never had a hotep say that to me. They don't literally think of black women as God, no. Its more like, in my opinion, black people are the oldest human race and black women make life, so black women are "God" in that sense. I would be weirded out, personally, if my bf called me God.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 02:27 PM
2

I wouldn't care but she would eventually lose respect for me unless I made up for the value loss in other ways (social value, physical/attractive value, personality...etc). This makes sense. I agree. Which kind of common traits do you think men need to overcome less earnings?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 02:24 PM

plans change over time with new information and events. goals change because YOU change. I originally wanted to be an alpha woman lobbyist for Citibank. That changed when I changed. It happens. Life is easier and less stressful on you when you align your life with your VALUES. Then even if things change, you don't have any regrets.

Those "tips" are going to change, quite drastically in some cases, with your target demographic of men. wait. what's my target demographic of men? Let's hear this.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/17 02:15 PM

First thing that pops into my head is a very ambitious woman who's competing with everything. but if they're a power couple, then her man would be EQUALLY ambitious and competing with everything. the power couple loves that dynamic. everyone knows them, they make tons of money, they're influential.....i feel that most men couldn't handle that kind of relationship. on top of their woman being very personality matched to them, there's no room to drop the ball at all.

/u/Atlas_B_Shruggin taught me a few things and she was more helpful than entire subreddits because she's about that life, ya dig? In most cases, STFU, not rejecting sex, and deference has had a far greater impact on my relationship successes than anything else. dude my generation grew up on this shit. not yours. boys MY AGE back THEN were not even paying attention to girl shit. they were in their own anime/card game/video game world. girls would never have bored boys they were into with details about lizzie mcguire period.

the ONLY film that comes to mind in my lifetime (im 29 years old) is Scott Pilgrim vs the World, from 2010. He's this nice guy who gets the hot and cool Ramona FLowers and has to fight all her exes to win her. But he's like the LAST guy she would normally date AND this is proven by literally all the guys he has to fight to get her. Other than that single film, there is no film I can think of in my lifetime that boys TUNED into wehre the message was that the nice guy gets the girl.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/17 03:22 PM

i'm sure guys in passing with nothing to do had disney channel ON. i mean i think lizzie mcguire followed even stevens around 4:30pm or so. but boys weren't TUNING in for lizzie mcguire. every boy my age was freaking out about DragonBall Z at that point.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/17 03:17 PM

Yes, Lizzie McGuire and Kim Possible were held up as "how you get girls" to boys. It's "Look at this, boys! This is what we want!" and "awwww" You don't know what messages are sent to men because, being a woman, you're not tuned to the messages sent to men. but boys didn't watch that show. most guys thought it was a girl show. if ANYTHING, the guys were all watching Even Stevens or Jett Jackson.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/17 03:06 PM

NO BOY my age was sitting down after school to watch Lizzie McGuire. THey were all watching Toonami or playing Yu Gi Oh or video games.

i disagree. if you don't care any about the background of the person your'e trying to date, why not just fuck strangers? that's ultimately what tinder is about. they're strangers your'e gonna fuck under the guise of "dating"

Female Hotep/ 29 / SE US I tried tinder. Its clearly a hookup app. People have no profiles or anything. Just profile pics and age and location. I randomly met my bf on there and he's so far pretty cool :V so yayz are in order. Its quicker and to the point more so than other apps, but I don't think tinder was DESIGNED at all for dating. It's literally the straight man's version of Grindr.

I've also gotten sick staying up for 4 days straight to talk to him on his schedule (unusual sleeping habits). Traveled and stayed near he was, etc. Adopted his diet (vegetarian or paleo). in my experience, men who have tons of female 'friends' were basically men who were in wide social networks who fucked women across those networks on a regular basis. he got with his gf because she wasn't a member of that network. Its really fucking awkward to go to a party wtih your bf's friends, and realized that of the 8 other girls there, 2 of them were his STR exes ad 3 of them were ONS and those ONS hate you because they know, and he knows and everyone knows and you just found out. awkward…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/17 04:08 PM

If he has only female friends, then I tend to agree with u/Sunhappy_DC . He's either fucking them/trying to fuck or he's gay. okay, then yes, that was what i was trying to say. most men have male friends and then OPTIONS within their friend circle. if a man has female FRIENDS, i think he's either gay and/or can't relate to other straight men very well (Flag) or he's a cunthound with female orbiters and he liked fucked a good number of those women.

she's not 'okay' with it. she's putting up with it. probably hates herself or thinks she's insane. you think attractive men who habitually cheat on their women, push their boundaries, disappoint them, and hurt their feelings think that their women are okay? they know they aren't okay. they don't care. behind every attractive alpha is a woman sobbing and likely contemplating suicide. real talk. women who are with those men don't complain about patriarchy. they probably WANT those good men to come…

Some studies report that up to 60% of women have been physically abused in the past. Including emotional abuse, I would wager that number is closer to 90%. Every woman has that one alpha that they have encountered and dated and through that experience realized that alphas are bad partners, and higher betas are the ideal. That's what those stats mean. They had the "mean" boyfriend that "hurt them".

Research has already shown that the accessibility to welfare changed welfare patterns for single mothers, especially among poorer groups and communities of color. /r/PurplePillDebate22/08/17 01:54 PM

no, not at all. it depends on a number of factors. we're talking specifically about this: If she's over the age of 25, and still mentioning that she's low ncount, like any man still fucking cares, then she's difficult. If she is low ncount, never had a serious long term relationship, and over the age of 25, she's difficult and likely something is very wrong with her. These are red flags.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/17 01:44 PM
9

so how like is it for an attractive girl to be single after 25 without significant red flags. Most attractive girls without red flags AREN'T single after 25. They meet their future husbands between 21-24 and date them exclusively for 2-5 years and then marry around 25-30. Which is why ncount is meh. It matters but not as much as people here think. If she's over 25 and has no serious relationship history in her past, THAT is the red flag. Ncount be damned, she's a difficult option.

yes atlas, that's what they mean. they think women should be celibate between relationships with THEM, but then also want women to put out when they want to have sex, even before the man commits. its a catch 22

i think the same thing about men demanding for low ncount women. if you are married at 30 with a weak history of serious relationships and a low ncount, in my view, you find sex disgusting. and the men will resent her for giving him a deadbedroom.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/17 02:31 PM

agreed. i don't understand how anyone can date like a modern person without having too many LTRs and just put off sex for years and years out of some moral belief that ncount=bad. i feel like those people would be bad sexual partners.

But its 100% okay to hook up casually with the same person over and over with no intent for commitment? Women pulling this nonsense by backpocketing Ex's and keeping fuckbuddys, just for the sake of retaining the moral superiority of a low N count is so backwards and sexist it boggles the mind. fucking thank you. dudes are playing themselves. people don't know how to research anymore. those sites are to show folks what's available in terms of financial aid. there is no federal higher education grant program for individuals targeted specifically for women. at all. most grants that women apply for are grants targeting LMI households specifically for food, housing, daycare, energy, or returning to school --- because they're targeting the lowest income groups, which often have single mother households. The other grants that women often a…

not someone who goes to church from 11:30am to 1pm and then does nothing else during the week. i MEAN DEVOUT. like you live in church. all your friends go to church. you been in that church your whole life. you are there on sundays, for wednesday bible study and do volunteer stuff throughout the month. you know everyone's name and are active in 5 ministries. and there's tons of people like that in the south.

how can you define a word with THE WORD ITSELF? Definition invalid.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 02:41 PM
3

I would say baptism, absolutely. If you are a devout baptist, male or female, you ain't having sex, even if you want to. On top of them wanting to date while being celibate, and demanding this of ALL their partners, they want you to go to church and marry them all within 6 months. Most Christians ain't about that life either.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 02:40 PM
1

dignity is not respect.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 02:22 PM
1

I do not demand that any woman who's not mine "respect" me, as in submit to me or subordinate herself to my leadership. Because she's not in a relationship with me. No no, i get that. I was agreeing with what you wrote, and elaborating with my own points.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 02:13 PM
1

I find it laughable when some random man implicitly or explicitly demands deference, submission or insta-compliance from from me. same!!! and that's what i'm getting at. why should i submit to a man i don't even know?? i can't understand this logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 02:11 PM
4

I want women to understand, like intellectually understand, the opinions, feelings and experiences of men in general. i mean, many women have the ability to do that and if that's a person's aim, to educate them on the male experience, that's all well and good. but you don't have to respect a man thats not yours in order to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 02:08 PM
7

you can be treated with human dignity and not respected. folks are mixing the two up.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 02:07 PM
6

we can do that and not give a fuck about some random guy on the street.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 01:44 PM

with THAT logic, then women shouldn't treat their SOs differently than any other man.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 01:43 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/17 01:39 PM
3

the women are wonderful effect is primarily a macro phenomenon. I mean between individuals, why should a woman who isn't yours 'respect' you at all. Respect = admiration + deference. I am not deferring to some nicca on the street cuz he has a dick.

Casting doubt and creating anxiety for your partner is a childish game. its not something they do on purpose. no one is really doing it on purpose. the risk of finding someone you really love and care about and they could leave...that creates anxiety. cuz reality is that not everything works out. so you're aware of that and yeah, it makes you anxious. Constantly chasing your partner, trying to impress them because you're fearful of losing them is also a game. well, i don't think its 'chasing'. i…

hm. well no, i haven't. but honestly i just feel like it may just be my personality. i'm just always high on emotions and not being 'emotional' internally or anxious in any way makes me ..... anxious XD if you can believe that. its a physiological thing for me. Love triggers it in ways that is super jarring. if i feel comfortable, it doesn't go away. i more so learn --- by learning the guy --- how to temper it.

so far, its fabulous. i'm super comfortable and i love him and i believe he loves me. i'm happy. that SAID, i do think if you're a woman and in love, 'happy' means satisfied. its not really a successful relationship if you aren't feeling a passive undercurrent of anxiety or dread on a regular basis or in my case, all the time.

not in the slightest. in a world where its easier than EVER to fuck strangers, reddit thinks its impossible. maybe if they weren't online so much whining about not getting their dicks sucked, they'd actually get their dicks sucked. same with girls. if they stopped gabbing to each other in tehse feminist echochambers they'd realize that there are tons of quality guys out there just waiting to reject them XD JK. Let's go international with it: Kareenas and Madhuri!! <3 Sooyoung and Hyoyeon <3 Amarachi and Kelechis <3 Ragnar and Rollo. <3 <3 <3 Taecyeon and Seung Li <3 Ugochwukwu and Ife <3 At a certain point all the names start getting ridiculous. That said, the RP is specifically and uniquely Western anglosphere so this doesn't shock me.

she can be ick about other dudes, but when it comes to you, if she's attracted ENOUGH, she'll get over her disgust and enjoy you in the moment. if she's like "omg get that penis away from my face" in the MOMENT, then its likely she wasn't totally turned on. of course there are limits. if you are hittin it right and then mid stroke drop a "let's do scatplay" in there, she'll likely have good reason to be disgusted and kick you out. :V

TLDR: Essentially she rode the cock carousel for too long in NYC (the graveyard of pussy) and now she regrets it. She now sees reality instead of the lies feminism has sold young women. Realizing too late the dating market has turned against her favor, she now regrets not forming a relationship and putting in effort to make it work. Eh, in a few years, all of her friends' husbands will wake up and realize that marrying the girl closest to them by 28-33, was either a huge mistake because she's a …

Female The biggest that I see is cheating. When a woman cheats, she's a total unforgivable cunt. There is no excuse that she could express to her man about what she did or why. Whether the man was an abusive asshole who beat her or disrespected her or her children, or whether she did EVERYTHING right and he still ran off with some 17 year old hussy, doesn't matter. Even if the guy was decent but she got drunk in a moment of weakness and made a terrible mistake ONCE and she swears never to do it …

in career: It's more nuanced. "Bitches" climb up the ladder faster, but they aren't treated with any respect by their male counterparts. Women have to win the Female Social Matrix FIRST to be respected by male colleagues and then move up that way. Then they can be bitches, who cares. your bf is willing to play house with a woman you actively don't like for the next 12 months. if that's simply unacceptable for you, just break up with him. who cares. HES A BOYFRIEND. replaceable. and he's not even a long term bf. you've only been dating him for less than 2 years. You will move on in under 6 months. You're 25, don't waste your pretty.

well its either acrylic or the powder pots, which is nice. but yeah, if i spend like $10 here for lipstick or gloss, another $10 on some skincare product and then $15 on like something else, you hit almost $40 right there.

Look good feel good that's my motto. amen sister! Of course your budget goes up or down depending on what you can afford. Style changes with your age and occupation too. Yes, because I live in a much more casual and affordable city now, I don't spend NEARLY as much as I did when I lived in DC. Maybe my gym membership. I shop consignment instead of brand new. I spend maybe $10/mo on makeup. THat's it. Not a big deal. its nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/17 07:40 PM

that's all i do when i spend money beyond the essentials. My old 'appearance budget' when I lived in DC. I've moved to the south so this has been adjusted. Hair --- Full lacefront weave install and maintenance ($100-200/mo) Nails -- Acrylic/Gel Mani/Pedi with tip ($85/mo) Fitness -- Gold's Gym Membership ($40/mo) Clothing -- WHBM, Ann Taylor, Macys, Nordstrom, LOFT work clothes and shoes and purses (around $1000/season) Makeup -- CVS brands, MAC (around $40/mo) And this was just upkeep. Example,…

In my European country 1 or 2 generations ago, a 20yo got a 15yo girl pregnant and married her when the pregnancy showed too much. Then he got a job at the factory (if he had no education) or any kind of public service (if he had the equivalent of a high school degree), and from there could pay the bills for his whole family (and make more kids), own his house and his car, and have disposable income on top of everything. Also divorce wasn't really an option (and even when it became so legally, i…

Everyone's becoming more immature. We're delaying adulthood. The idea that an 18 year old is too young to be a functional adult is insane. I have peers at 35 saying "adulting is so hard!!" They were talking about making dinner.

hmmm... well let me preface by saying i'm a woman. for me, being straight and cis-gendered, i think being emotionally distant is worse. being emotionally available creates intimacy, which helps women fall and stay in love.

in my opinion, you can improve certain things. surgery. fitness. makeup. clothing. attitude, etc. but you can't change dna. you can't change skin color. you cna't change facial features. biology. skeleton. the underlying things that determine how masculine/feminine you are, how attractive you are, and so forth. honestly, i think despite all efforts, the BEST you can do really over a smv5 is 1-2 pts higher, but then you'd still be in your league.

If this is a pattern of behaviour, this person just enjoys being contentious or doesn't respect me. I never personally felt this way, but I'm not a man. I think this is a male sensitivity (for good reason) that women rarely pick up on. I don't ever think "this person doesn't respect me" unless I'm at work. That's the only time I think of things through a lens of "respect". but i agree with your view.

I don't assume or expect anything. If he doesn't press for exclusivity, and in my experience they all do, then it's time for the ugh "what are we?" convo!! Guys that can, are getting it somewhere even if I'm waiting a bit. /u/drok007 told me that this is the wrong approach. women should never bring this up. men usually find a way to claim a girl on their own timeline. by 6 months of dating, if he hasn't claimed you then that's just not cool on his part. drok, back me up if i'm right here.

I've gotten lost at the mall as a kid a number of times. Nobody, man or woman, escorts you around looking for your parents. Lifetime Channel for Women lied then, cuz I remember plenty of tv movies where a young woman (<25 yo) finds a young girl and then looks around for the little girl's parents. I once found a toddler alone in Alexandria, VA and I waved to the girl and asked her "where are your parents?". A common one that comes to mind is that your bf or husband will request that you don't wear sexy outfits when going out, not because he doesn't like you in it, but because he doesn't want you attracting attention from other males. that's a form of mateguarding.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 06:25 PM
1

you didn't have to claim it. i'm just stating facts.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 05:24 PM

so you aren't an alpha then.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 05:12 PM

how is he being a dick for guarding her from other men?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 05:08 PM
3

right and also to masculine men, it doesn't MATTER if she wants to cheat or not, he'll close off all opportunities.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 05:05 PM
3

Think how hard it is to find someone you click with, and then think how completely lacking in enjoyment dating can be! You're not really going to give that up that connection without good reason, unless the connection is no longer there. or you have a chance at something better. its human to want to upgrade.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 05:01 PM
2

I'd feel terrible. All my bfs have done it in some form.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 04:50 PM
2

LOL Don't you have a bf? maybe he mateguards you in subtle ways. If a man cares, he's done it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 04:34 PM
7

Women are far more naturally and biologically faithful than men and will only tend to seek affairs when they deem to their relationship to be deeply unsatisfactory. I think this modern paranoia stems from men today subconsciously realizing they aren't naturally masculine enough to retain their woman by their own merit. They know there's a more masculine man out there that can and will want to steal her from him.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 04:27 PM
11

betas is scared of losing his good thing, so he doesnt try to own or control, but mateguards by wheedling and sneak looking at her phone and begging and reacting after the fact. he has a female frame and tries to convince her not to be a cheating whore with words and arguments. good luck Ross from Friends in a nutshell LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/17 04:22 PM

Dating is harder because men are less masculine, women are less feminine, and there are fewer incentives for both genders to be so. The decoupling of sex from relationships killed dating. In my opinion.

men are broken because they aren't allowed to be men anymore. some are responding with addiction, some are checking out of human interaction entirely, some are becoming social losers and many just suck it up but remain depressed. when men get to be men again, lead their families, be kings in their own, have community purpose again, feel respected....the 'broken' thing will heal itself.

japan seems like a shit hole dating/social wise. men are shut ins. low birth rates. cheating abound and practically open. plus all the crappy anime/manga. No wonder everyone jumped on the Hallyu wave. The only good thing about Japan right now is video games and the trifecta of jpop: Ayumi, Namie and Hikki <3
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 03:17 PM
3

Not. masculine. Men who are pretty are usually weak looking and unattractive. Beta bitch boys. I never liked pretty boys. Ever. In my life. Its a bad thing. If you are called a "pretty boy" don't expect a girl to defer to you. Ever. You aren't intimidating. You aren't dreading her. She's not gonna fuck the shit out of you. "OOo you're so pretty!" = emotional tampon.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 06:22 PM

beta men are trying to impress women with things like money and status because their masculinity on its own isn't always enough. i get that and i don't mind it. but once you're in a relationship, and she's fucking you and you have the girl, why are these men still dropping 'serious cash' on these women? For what? Where are they going?? Even if you thought you were ballin and went to a Ruth's Steak Cris 2x a month that's still maybe just 350/mo. Hardly financial ruin.

Any woman who I was exclusive with who told me "none of your business" if I asked her about something, I would immediately conclude she has something to hide or is lying. I'd plate her and date/fuck other women. LOL omg. so you would downgrade her in 2 seconds because she is a little bit defensive about her history…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 08:53 PM

All other things being equal, people should avoid marrying others with mental health conditions. the typical difference between someone with a mental health condition and someone without a mental health condition is that one person walked into a clinic and a LCMSW looked over a list of traits in a book and decided that because you exhibited 8/14 you must have x condition. That's it. EVERYONE can be diagnosed with a mental health condition if they want to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 08:52 PM

and he could up and leave at any time for whatever reason. you would drop a chick in a heartbeat if her fucking ncount was too high to YOU. if you're willing to break up over her past sexual history, why should she be comfortable enough to tell you her very personal, medical history and health information? bf/gf don't owe each other anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 08:47 PM
2

What about a discussion along the lines of "I want to be with you for the rest of my life" without becoming explicitly engaged? talk is cheap.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 08:45 PM
5

Because at the point of exclusivity, he's giving up opportunities to date/fuck other women. He's entitled to know about what he's agreeing to be exclusive with. why is he entitled to it? she's not his wife.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 08:45 PM
5

because that's when everything has to be on the top that may affect the marriage. you don't owe him anything as a gf. he could up and leave at any time. him proposing shows that he's planning on sticking around.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 08:40 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 08:10 PM
1

seriously?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 08:10 PM
3

yes, and i'm saying that if you're managing it well on your own, there's no reason to disclose it, especially during dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 07:55 PM
4

So having a diagnosed mental disorder is NBD so long as the person doesn't use it to excuse toxic and negative behavior. I would think so. If they're managing their disorder properly, they shouldn't even be that noticeable compared to anyone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 07:40 PM

if someone has Type I Diabetes, they don't put it in their dating profile and screen potential lovers because they have Type I Diabetes. Someone who has serious anxiety and then 'identifies' with their anxiety and makes a point of discussing it and how it serves as a detriment to their life at all times.....that's these guys are talking about. Its not like you can't be anxious or whatever, tis that you're using it as an excuse.

Eh, I don't think relationships EVER begin on a woman's terms. Men are the gatekeepers of commitment. They set the terms, and you agree and have the man, or you don't and stay single or in limbo or an FWB or a plate. Even with guys I've dated who were omegas or low betas, the terms were always set by them. Examples: I don't care about ever making a real living for myself. Accept the terms or walk. I won't be a romantic person. I love yous will be infrequent and passive. Accept the terms or walk.…

People are downvotint you because you're making it sound like hitting is the norm for black males and it's okay because she had it coming =P also people hate looking at the dark side and shadows of being human. Domestic violence rates are exponentially higher within the black community for a reason. I married a man who doesn't get angry often, but when he does, it's extreme. But I also believe love is a choice and a series of actions. You find a person who inspires those three elements, you decide to make them Your Person, and you make choices every day to keep those elements from disappearing. This takes work and commitment from both partners. i'm just seeing this. i would agree. i think a lot of relationships come down to simply deciding on a person and then making it work. the 'work' is what a lot of people suck at.

I thought my boyfriend was cute when I met him, but I had no desire to actually sleep with him. Attraction makes me want to know someone better, not get them naked immediately. Attraction can grow and then make me want to jump their bones. :p this is entirely alien to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:56 PM
2

Yeah, which is why if a girl has reservations about the actual act of sex or doing it too soon, it's easy to see if it's actual reservations vs lack of attraction if she still flirts with you suggestively, or masturbates thinking about you. wait you lost me. explain this again please
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:53 PM

Being sexually unavailable and imposing hoops and restrictions on intimacy is the exact opposite of love. Today must be bizarro day cuz I agree with you :V
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:52 PM
12

"I'm lonely but not sexually attracted to you, and I don't have a guy available to commit to me who I'm sexually attracted to right now" holy fuck. that makes a lot of sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:42 PM
1

interesting. okay
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:38 PM

so would you say that for you, comfort and familiarity BUILDS up to attraction and potentially love? For me, its usually immediate or it will never happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:28 PM
1

Also, I'm pretty sure most women make their decision on a guy in the first few minutes of an interaction. The "waiting period" means she doesn't find you attractive and wants to see what provider traits you have. Oooo....i can see this too
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:25 PM

"Fall in Love" defined as having that early stage infatuation and desperate desire for a female ? Yes. Absolutely you can have that without sex. In fact, it's most common in males without a sexual connection to the woman concerned. Be "In Love" in so far as we are talking about the long term bonding of male/female that (say) a long term married couple might experience ? NO! This requires sex. Frequent sex. Over a prolonged period. I like this analysis :D
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:21 PM
1

And dont call me a twerp, please. I dont think ive done or said anything to earn a label like that. My bad. Not really flattering, no. Its flattering if a girl wants to get to know me, yes, but making me wait 9 months for sex doesnt translate to an infatuation with me. I see that as disinterest at best. Would you keep talking to her after 9 months or would you just cut her off?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:17 PM
1

I don't see why I'd be ready for sex or love with someone before I'd be ready to call them a friend. I would never date a man I saw as potentially a friend. Friend to me = no attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:13 PM
4

Really??? What if you went on three dates in three days? You'd want a girl to put out after knowing you for just three days?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:12 PM

But the fact that she doesn't want to have sex with me snaps me right out of it. What if she does but won't have sex with you for whatever personal reason she has? Does that make things better?

Why does she feel that she can get a man to commit his life to her without any sexual intimacy? HMMMMM. So why do so many twerps here argue they'd only marry virgins?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:10 PM

true. but how well do you know a person after even a year? They're still strangers in many cases because you're still learning about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:09 PM
1

so you're saying that once upon a time, you could love a woman based solely on her character without ever having sex with her?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:08 PM
1

the man is signalling his lack of options, which contributes to you not wanting to fuck him. very interesting thought. i wouldn't think of it that way but I kind of see what you mean.

originally, they weren't. and AtlasB is definitely not tradcon.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:05 PM

love is fleeting. If the idea of having sex with someone they are attracted to without being actively in love is disgusting to them I'd rather avoid such deadbedroom time bombs Ooooo excellent point. I do think women like the one in the example would DB a man pretty quickly into marriage. If they have such low libidos they can go months or years without, they likely can go even longer than that since they aren't internally driven.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:05 PM
6

i'm saying women with super low ncounts today are like the woman in the example. they withhold sex until they are in a committed relationship and that usually requires love on both their parts. why should she touch your dick at all if you could just bail after she's done?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:04 PM
8

they fuck chad, same as anyone, they make their betabux wait, as a mate retention strategy. Even your precious atlas, the TRADCON mother hen, fucked more chicks than archwinger. .....Wat? When was /u/Atlas_B_Shruggin ever tradcon? Ever. In her entire 47 years of life?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 02:03 PM
2

all you're signalling is a life of quiet desperation. who is signaling this? the man who's waiting or the woman who's not putting out? Unless you have some amazing skills elsewhere. Good blowjobs, good little earner, pleasant, good cook, somewhat financially well off? In the example, they only make out. Assume they both have decent jobs.

because its without love? This is probably alien to most of the people in PPD hahaha. But I'm relaying to yall what I talk about with many of my female friends.

I understand not wanting to be abandoned after sex, but i think at 9 months youve crossed the threshold where you are using your sexual value as a currency. Hmm. interesting. I can see that yeah

Tradcons are looking for husbands. Attraction alone isn't reason to date or fuck someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:52 PM

okay, that makes way more sense then :D
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:51 PM

I'm referring to traits traditionally associated with femininity: softness, nurturing, being caring, etc. Being needy to your husband, being emotional with little reason, gossiping about your kids and showing them off, they're all feminine still. Men never cared about "toxic" femininity in the past. Women were women and men were men. And you just accepted them as they were.

Nine days sounds really short to me. what if you spent every day of those nine days together for more than 5 hours each time? THat's a lot of time together to get to know each other.

:D :D :D :D
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:45 PM

Also, im not going to wait around for her for 9 months. Thats just insane. But why? XD Isn't it flattering that a girl wants to get to know you that badly? Isn't it great that a woman isn't some loose sloot who is careful about not increasing her ncount? I thought that's what twerps want? How else does a woman hit 30 with a <5 ncount? THIS is how that looks in practice.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:45 PM

To me sex is an important part of romantic love, so the longer she deferred on it the more I'd likely lose interest myself, as I'd start to doubt my own feelings, and maybe start resenting her for stringing me along. Yeah, I believe that you CAN'T be 'in love' without sex. Even if you have strong feelings, the sex makes the chemicals cook, if you will, and become love :D My first girlfriend wanted us to wait and hold our virginity together and lose it later when we were 'sure', and then a year l…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:36 PM

i know lots of weird people i guess?? But its' not that cray cray. if a woman doesn't want a high ncount, she isn't gonna fuck a dude unless she's 100% certain he's not gonna just up and bail. So yeah, lots of women in the US date for love and have sex only after they find it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:35 PM
1

Love is simply lust, infatuation, and an amalgamation of strong emotions. okay. :D Using your definition, could you see yourself having sex with someone without your concept of love being present?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:32 PM
6

And 9 months? Are you kidding? If shes not feeling it after 9 days, shes not going to feel it in 9 weeks, 9 months, or 9 years. It does not take that long to get to know someone enough for sex. a LOT of tradcon women won't even touch a man unless she loves him and would marry him. to them, the 9 months doesn't mean anything because she's not going to put out unless he's a guarantee. they're risk averse. it makes sense for a woman who doesn't want a high ncount.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:31 PM
2

why? you're saying you could only fall in love with virgins?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:30 PM
1

i would love for you to make this a post. i think the idea of 'healthy relationships' should only be defined by the people inside the relationship, not others, and this obsession you're talking about is killing attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:29 PM
1

this is what i don't understand so help me please :V IF someone is considered a friend, there's no attraction there anyway so of course you WOULDN'T have sex or fall in love with them, right? I don't have male friends, just associates, and of those few I would never sleep with them. that's the point of friends. they're platonic.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:27 PM

Cersei and Jaime in Game of Thrones. There's no way to not make that relationship look just creepy and wrong wrong wrong. I actually really like Catwoman and Batman's relationship, but they are very anxious-avoidant lovers and its kind of sad, cuz they obviously would work well together but they just assume it would never work.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:24 PM

most men i know would say "women be CRAZY, yo" and then keep it moving. she's acting like a female, so its still feminine. its just not desirable. the Q is "what is femininity" not "what is the most ideal feminine trait?"
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 01:20 PM
6

well traditionally, men don't respect women anyway so the whole post is off, imo. men can appreciate some traits in women more than others, BUT to want a feminine woman (which is the point) he will take the good with the bad. that's my point

Right but you cant say.... marry a traditionally masculine man and then be shocked he gets drunk at bars and get into fights. Or slaps his wife. Or chooses not be involved with the emotional care of his kids... all masculine behaviors. You can say you respect something, but if you pick and choose which parts you will acknowledge before you can respect it, I'd argue you don't really respect it at all. They're package deals. "Toxic" only comes into play when there's no balance and someone suffers

From Lewinsky's Vanity Fair article herself: “Sure, my boss took advantage of me, but I will always remain firm on this point: it was a consensual relationship. Any ‘abuse’ came in the aftermath, when I was made a scapegoat in order to protect his powerful position,” Lewinsky explains.

I've done it. It was stressful. You can't. Most women who climb the career latter see their husbands less, have less sex, have more affairs, their husbands have more affairs, and its just a terrible dynamic. Even if their husbands work just as much, it doesn't matter. Women can't keep relationships together if they are ALWAYS away from the home.

I'm guessing a fucked up uncle groomed them to be perverted or a jealous single mother put the idea that they were sluts in their heads at a young age. That leads to a more pro-active female sexuality more often than not. You'd think it'd make girls sex adverse but most internalize the abuse and see themselves the way their abusers framed them. I disagree with this. I don't think BPD women are "fucked up" because of some crappy past. Usually, they just want to be loved so badly that any man who …

Wouldn't (in that case) your emotional response be "um, did I make a bad choice ? I'm not so sure now. IS he a good mate ?"... or would you, if they were negative, get the same big ego/emotional boost you get when they're positive? Not really. If i don't have any reservations or anxiety about him MYSELF, it wouldn't matter what others say. I've dated guys who to others was a complete loser. I didn't care.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 03:09 PM

when it comes to women, attraction to people you WANT makes people kind of insecure. you could be the most confident, self assured woman in the world, but when you find that one man that makes you weak in the knees and you're crying next to you phone for four days because you haven't heard from him.... then people say you have low self esteem and you're really just being a woman.

I think feminism infiltrated some Christian circles. If you're a Christian household, your man is in charge, its a partnership but you're not equals. I don't justify fornication. It's wrong. I know that for a fact. I just .... don't think about XD

why should she notify you? you're not her husband. you can either break up with her or make conditions. she doesn't have to agree to them.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
