Hi girls:) I recently found this podcast by Dr. Jennifer (PhD psychologist, Mormon) and it blew me away. I am not Mormon (I love Jesus and practice Buddhism lol) but I believe that her work is accessible and incredibly valuable to women of any faith/no faith. She wrote her dissertation on the topic of LDS women and sexual agency, and I know that she did a lot of training under the psychologist David Schnarch, who wrote books like “Passionate Marriage” and taught about differentiation, which I think is one of the biggest keys to successful relationships and personal fulfillment (that most ppl don’t do lol). She is a marriage and sex counselor and many of her clients are members of the LDS church, her free podcast is made up of interviews she has done, but she also has a subscription one where she records actual couples, and I am def going to subscribe to that at some point. I think she does groups and women’s/couples retreats too. She discusses sex, relationships, even things like modesty and self-esteem, in a way that I find incredibly balanced, and empowering but not in a delusional feminist way lol. She is very kind, but real, and encourages deep work and personal responsibility. Idk, but I think this is like level two after you get into Laura Doyle, not that Laura isn’t awesome, but Jennifer for sure gets deeper. She is aware of polarity, and the value of femininity and masculinity. She balances her obviously wide and in-depth knowledge of (cutting edge imo) modern psychology/therapeutic theory with her faith in a stunning way, but I think in a way that wouldn’t turn off non-religious people. I just wanted to share bc I think that her work is super RPW and would be incredibly helpful to so many!<3
