I currently study at my bf's place a lot, but as soon as I'm done with college entrance exam, the plan is always bringing a book along. I miss reading, I didn't get to read much during schoolyear, so I'd be doing that anyway.

Just do whatever you normally do at home. Perhaps you don't have that much freedom (i.e. you can't do anything around the house), but I'm sure that's not what you normally do all the time.

You could always watch movies or whatever (bring a laptop or bring it on some sort of portable storage that you can connect to his TV, if he has one in his room.

Drawing and wiring are also fun.

But I don't know, reading is kind of the comfiest, and you can pick out whatever matches your interest.

Also, gaming isn't really a 15 minutes activity for most people, so maybe you could visit a local gym or take a walk when he's gaming? Maybe he wants to play online and talk with his friends, but he can't as openly, and you should try and be physically active. If you're at his place, it might be awkward to just walk out, but if you spend so much time there, you'll have to get used to it.

"Me time" is very important for the health of relationships.

That said, how is the balance of your time engaged together, versus busy with solo pursuits together? If he's spending an increasing or unreasonable amount of time gaming but badly neglecting relationship time, that is the underlying issue.

Depending on your proximity to each other, it might be a scheduling solution; come over after work or gaming time. One of the things I like about dating in my 40s is, we each have our own house, job, and life, so when we plan to be together, it is for the express purpose of being together.

For those times SO is busy, I'll find helpful things that I like doing to keep busy, be it tending the garden or pets or minor repairs. If I run out of those things I'd read the paper a while. This presupposes that the together time is well worth the waiting time.

If I found myself frequently spending 1+ hour doing make-work tasks while waiting, for the short term I'd come over later enough that the wait time would become reasonable. For the long term, I'd be mindful whether SO is really that into me.

I took up knitting. It's very relaxing and meditative and you can sell some of what you make on etsy.

Do you like video games? If he's on the computer, you can get a console and play something if you're interested. Gamecube was always so good for the more interactive games, rather than just fighting or shooting.

Maybe get a Gamecube, buy Mario Sunshine, or Harvest Moon.

If you don't like gaming, perhaps painting? Its cheap, and very relaxing.

Hula hoop! I don't know if you've seen any hoop dancing but its a really great hobby (and sometimes workout!). I'm not sure if he lives in a small apartment or a place with a yard, but getting started doesn't take too much space. Youtube tutorials and a hula hoop.

Plus its really graceful and can be super sexy. He won't be playing video games for long!

I feel like I just tried to sell this to you, but seriously anytime is on the hunt for a hobby, hula hooping is my go to! Its so rewarding.
