Me (F28) and my husband (M30) have been married for a little over a year, together for almost 3. I moved to the US from Europe to be with him and my friends and family are all back in my country. I have been involved in the church back home where I felt great being surrounded by women with the same values. We would often meet for a coffee, movies or volunteer together. As soon as I moved I started looking for a women group at a local church but my husband convinced me not to do so and focus on studies instead (we decided I should finish college here).

It was okay for a while, but the husband's work got very stressful to the point he is focused on the job exclusively and 99% of conversations we have are about his work problems. I always try to listen, support him and give some advice, but it becomes harder. It also affects our sex. In the beginning, I would openly express my needs and ask about his fantasies, but he would tell me he can not stop thinking about work and focus on pleasures or do a foreplay so we just have quickies once or twice a week. In the meantime, I believe I have developed a depression. I have trouble focusing, studying and taking care of the house. I also cry often for no reason, but when I express my issues to my husband he just tells me to go to the gym or for a walk.

This is the first time I am telling this to anyone as I do not share my relationship problems with my family and the friends I had back home had obviously become more distant as it is hard to maintain friendships over the phone.

I need serious advice as I have no idea what to do and how to support my husband when he is so stressed and I am depressed.
