It isn't to say that all women are inherently awful creatures, just that all women have those same tendencies underneath it all (their nature as the female sex). It isn't saying that no woman is capable of controlling these tendencies.

It's also safer for men to assume AWALT because it will keep them more on their toes and less likely to fall to oneitis and pedestalizing a girl because she can control those urges. Oneitis usually leads to failure in a relationship or failure to secure a relationship due to that pedestalization. If you assume she'll be likely to do bad, you'll be more likely to work to prevent those bad things from happening, which will in turn keep her in line.

The women here on the sub even do the same to themselves to keep their behavior up to par. You assume those bad things can still happen so that you can prevent them from happening instead of thinking you're automatically safe because it hasn't happened yet.

It's easy to assume one is a special snowflake and is not like the majority, thus falling into the majority's patterns more easily since one wouldn't be watching their own behavior.

Also, sorry about the switches between second and third person so frequently.

Edit: It would also take some intense retraining of the future generations with lots of leading by example to get women to stop giving into those urges so easily, bringing us back to the earlier years. That being said, there will still be girls who will deviate so that men still have their sluts for easy pump'n'dumps.

try to rememebr that AWALT stems from the experience of men across time and space who have successfully banged 100s of women...women of all shapes, sizes and social castes, women in different countries from different cultures. its a statement that there is such a thing as a "core female nature". think of it as an axis on a graph that all women lie upon, some approach AWALT almost asymptotically and others are farther away from the vertical line, but they are all on that horizontal axis somewhere

I may be off, but I think one element they had issue with, though they didn't really seem to specify it, was perhaps this line you wrote:

Eh, with some people you just can't change their minds. I feel like AWALT is a self fulfilling prophesy, many of the dudes I know who have particularly negative views on women end up with negative women themselves. I mean what is the point in getting out there and finding a good woman when you intrinsically believe that they are all bad?

I know not all of TRP believes that women are bad, simply controlled by underlying tendencies.

However, there are some guys on TRP who believe that women don't fall in love or that they are incapable of being faithful and stuff like that. So if that idea is deeply entrenched in your world view about women, there is little motivation to get out there and actually find a nice woman who is not like this.

From a strictly logical standpoint their argument is easy to dismantle as soon as they scope in 'All' women. They are making a sweeping generalisation and the onus is therefore on them to prove 'All' women are like anything. Its probably going to require a lot of evidence if they want to convince anyone. They can't rely on specific cases and need statistical data really, and then it needs to prove 100% success for their premise, so I don't like their chances, but I wish them luck.

But in all honesty I don't actually care what they think though, I only care what my captain thinks, and he thinks I am pretty awesome.

If I allow myself to act on NAWALT, the number of women who can make me believe they are different will be an order of magnitude or so larger than the number of women who actually are different. That course of action is strategically and financially untenable. AWALT is something we make ourselves act on in order to effectively adjust our actions to the incredibly slim pickings in the modern world.
