Looking for general discussion and reiteration of RPW values.

  1. I tend to be friends with career women, mostly because I'm the quiet one who likes to listen to them talk and I'm their soft friend that they don't have to compete with. However, even though I know RPW says career doesn't really matter, for some reason I feel pressure I have to be "interesting" like them, because they always have some new gossip or project or client, while I'm sort of content just "being." They also often criticize the housewife lifestyle or criticize women who don't have career goals.

  2. This may be part of my social anxiety but I'm not a huge talker - I'm not the one that can really fill up silence. I'm a big listener/commentator. Similarly I feel social pressure that I NEED to be socially dominant and lead the conversation - but I have observed that my girlfriends who are socially dominant are also single or in failed relationships.

tdlr; I tend to attract girlfriends/colleagues who are career women/feminists because I'm the soft feminine one who balances them out, but then I feel social pressure to be like them, even though RPW dictates that career doesn't matter.

I don't hate them, I actually find them very interesting but it may just be me feeling insecure about NOT being a career woman/feminist.

I guess I'm just looking for some validation that it's OK to continue being soft and quiet, simply because all around me there isn't much to validate these qualities anymore.
