Hello Ladies!

Last week, /u/MsSadieDunham challenged you sex it up! Here's the post for those of you who didn't get a chance to participate:

Lets Talk About Sex

Time to step it up by getting down... And dirty! This week we will be indulging our men by focusing on sex. Whatever your "normal" is, kick it up a notch. Initiate instead of him coming to you, give him a blow job in the car after a dinner date... it's summer time where I live so doing it outdoors is always an option. How about serving him dinner in only an apron and heels? Morning sex, shower sex, maybe a quick hand job. Go to the movies and fool around like you're back in high school. The possibilities are endless! Get creative.

Pick at least one night where you do something a little crazy, something you wouldn't normally do. The rest of the week, just step up your sex game. That could be a sexy snap chat or slip one of your thongs into his lunch box before work (probably not a good idea if he eats with coworkers). But every day, initiate some act that either directly or passively gets the proverbial juices flowing.

Good luck ladies! I can't wait to read those comments next week!

This week we're going to focus on fitness and weight loss.

Now, weight loss and a fit lifestyle doesn't happen overnight. Everyone starts from a different place, and admittedly, the further you are from a healthy weight/healthy lifestyle, the harder it's going to be to change. But it's so worth it if you keep it up for the long-run (pun intended)! There's a lot to talk about for the habits to adopt for living a healthy lifestyle, but for now, here are four tips that you can apply right away.

  • Drink more water. Of all the liquids you consume, try for 70-80% water to start. (100% water is ideal but that's impractical. Also, beer is delicious!) Say you drink two cans of soda every day (14 cans/week)? Try cutting it down to one can a day, every other day (3-4 cans/week), and substitute the soda you would have consumed with water. If it's really hard to essentially go cold-turkey, you can ease into it with water flavorings to kind of 'trick' your mind into thinking it's getting it's sugary fix. And in any case, drinking more water helps you lose more weight.

  • More natural food, less processed crap! You can lose weight with just about any diet (including pizza and burgers!), so long as you burn more calories than you eat. But you get so much more bang for your buck by eating more non-processed, natural foods. Carbs like bread and pasta fill you up, but don't have nearly as much nutritional value as meats/veggies/fruits. If you have to eat carbs, breakfast is the most forgiving time to do it because it gives your body more time to process it throughout the day. Substitutions work great here--lettuce wrap instead of bread, fruit instead of candy, tea instead of coffee--you get the idea. I guarantee that your skin will be clearer and you'll have considerably more energy now that you're flushing those toxins from your body!

  • Move! In addition to diet, do some light exercises to get you moving. Do some exercise every day, but you don't have to do all your exercise at once! Take a brisk walk around your neighborhood in the morning when you wake up. Take another walk on your lunch break. Take another walk when you get home--especially after eating dinner. Every other day, use your walks as warm-ups and cool downs for this squat challenge. 100% free and doesn't take up that much time. If you have time to Reddit then you have time for exercise lol.

  • Sleep. Studies suggest that not getting the right amount of sleep makes it easier for you to gain weight. From the article: "women who slept less than six hours a night or more than nine hours were more likely to gain 11 pounds (5 kilograms) compared with women who slept seven hours a night." So, try to get between 7 and 8 hours of sleep per night!

This week, there are only four things to keep up because I believe this is the foundation for building habits that help you lose weight and, more importantly, keep it off.
