Expatriation is the ultimate vote, if they dont want high quality, highly skilled males in their country, I'll go someplace else with my dollars, my skills, and my brain.

I would argue that at this point, things are pretty far gone in the political arena. Any candidate who tries to right the ship will be "hurting the feels" of women, and will be screamed from the stage by the feminists...doesn't matter if he's Republican or Democrat, Mitt Romney or Barack Obama.

In the vein of "only Nixon could visit China", it may be that the only candidate who could start righting the ship without committing political suicide is the one with strong feminist credentials already...as in, Hilary Clinton. Scary.

If you have seen the light, libertarian is the only way to go.

Possible candidates include Rand Paul and Justin Amash.

Politicians have very limited authority on how to actually govern.

Bureaucrats who run the various regulatory agencies have far more direct authority than any elected politician. Politicians can set the overall tone of the political environment, but they otherwise do very little actual governing. Anyone who has worked for a politician can tell you that most of their days are spent on constituent relations and meetings with important donors and their representatives. Few spend time reviewing legislation themselves -- their staffers do that. Laws are a means to secure more votes and campaign financing.

Professionals in big-money foundations and corporate lobbyists write the actual legislation. Sometimes staffers for the legislators edit some of it as they negotiate through the political process. Otherwise actual politicians don't do much direct 'legislating' -- that's professionalized. They're the front men who in some rare instances will take a more direct role in the process.

You can't replace the bureaucrats who do the governing. Politicians themselves have very limited authority to change staffing in those agencies, and certainly can't abolish their existence. Not even the president can abolish an entire regulatory agency on his say-so. He could attempt to strong-arm Congress to pass his agenda, but any subtractive legislative effort has, over the last hundred years, never really succeeded. The various agencies set up after WWI did demobilize after the war, and some New Deal enterprises were shuttered (like the National Recovery Administration), but otherwise, what's created remains on the books.

Any political program that involves a pro-TRP position (like ending no-fault divorce or reforming child support laws) won't succeed, or would require more millions of dollars to achieve than the community could reasonably raise on any reasonable time frame. Any money raised for such campaigns would be wasted on ads. The American political system is also fundamentally 'conservative.' Even long-discredited programs that don't work -- agencies that you never see in the news -- still continue to exist. Laws accumulate. Only very rarely, like with the repeal of prohibition, are laws removed.

It's a nice sentiment, but you'll be better served by agitating and preparing for secession. It's a longer term operation, but is probably a much more efficient use of your personal resources and the broader resources of men interested in shaking off the coercive laws that mutate our relationships with women and our children.

This government moves in one direction only:

Feeding its agents more money will only result in symbolic, noble losses (like Ron Paul's excellent vote record of 'nos'), and not the actual policy changes that would make life more tolerable. This is unfortunate, of course, but with no realistic opportunity for reform, and irreconcilable political differences between various populations, separation is the only moral and effective solution. Merely waiting for collapse to provide salvation from a broken system will be unlikely to produce satisfactory results for anyone.

Proactive political partition can offer a negotiated solution to what could otherwise be a destructive conflict over fundamental political principles (at least hopefully).

You can also turn and leave the country (and funnel money home later!). This is safer and will probably produce better results for you as an individual, while risking general doom. A cool expat lifestyle, like Rick's in Casablanca, may get a little tense if you don't have much of a home country to return to.

The kind of person you have to be to get elected president is not the kind of person you really want to be the president. In the age of big money corporate politics, how will someone get elected without the support of wallstreet and corporate interests?

The system is built from the ground up to always put in place a guy that is bought and paid for already by the time he sits down on the first day.

You seem to think we are still majority rule. If this were true, there would be no drug war, no NSA spying, no citizen united, no too big to fail banks, no TSA, no ridiculous corporate welfare, and every member of congress would be out of a job next term... but it isn't about what the majority wants, and even if it was, what would serve as a barrier to the more ridiculous desires of an un-informed majority that likes to jump from petty distracting bullshit to more petty bullshit at the behest of the media?

Figure out how to change the system first.

Well, as a non-American I would always vote Republican if I could, because ultimately both are members of an elite who will just fuck over the regular guy, but the Republican at least does not seem to disrespect him, his manly values, and so on. The Republican will at least pat you on the back and say good ol' boy while he robs your pockets, the Democrat will rob your pockets and call you an oppressive bigot while doing it. This is my external, outsider impression, picked up from the media, Internet, of course that never gives a fully rounded view.

And because it ultimately does not matter much because the difference is style only, I would also vote R just for the sake of annoying the typical sanctimonious, high-minded, snobbish left-liberal type who are so 200% sure of their moral superiority over everyone and so sure that no decent person ever could think anything different than they do, that they always shoot my blood pressure into the stratosphere and I love pissing them off in return. For example doing some work in the UK I met this woman who gave this "Bush is a fascist, waging war for oil, a horrible person and dragged us in" spile and the part that I hated was that I could totally see that the real meaning of it was basically "I am SO well-meaning, considerate and enlightened", I could see the ego trip behind it, 90% of international left-liberals live off these ego trips, so that I just HAD to piss her off by pretending to be the dumb brute from the Hungarian prairie and saying stuff like "I not know, he look like strong man to me, good strong leader, strong hand" and similar stupid semi-fascist shit, even though I actually thought he has the strategic ability of a potato pancake and I thought all he really wanted is to show his dad he can do what the old man could not or did not want to and it is really a poor reason to wage a war for. But I just can't stand these people.

And this is why I would vote R if I was American - voting does not change anything, but it can troll some people who think they are better than everyone else.

There is no way to turn this ship around. We can only try to run aground and escape to the shore before we're hopelessly lost at sea.

In case the metaphor isn't obvious, whatever path accelerates the decline is most likely to quickly bring about the changes we need through the much more predictable path of painful necessity rather than some utopian mass enlightenment of the brainwashed. I say give the statists and feminists exactly want they want and watch them choke on it.
