Hello guys. So I've been lurking here for like 4 months now. Everything seems great, the side bar is informative and I'm liking this community especially the self improvement and productivity part. Here's the thing, I'm kinda average and a bit ethnic looking. Maybe even below average. I realised this after getting rated online, and it made sense since I've never had a girlfriend before. And I hate it. Even most guys here had a gf before and then got cheated on/whatever, I never experienced having a gf before. I even joined tinder and I got like 30 matches in a week with the autoliker. I'm a bit tall (6'0) and skinny but I just don't like my face at all. I look baby-faced with a weak jawline. I'm also a social retard with few friends and don't have many hobbies/interests, which is why I'm here in the first place. I joined a gym, bought new books bought a new guitar and signed for lessons, but the problem is whenever I look at myself at the mirror/photos or never seeing anyone checking me out in public, I immediately feel down and just forget about improving myself. I mean I have this deep belief that with the cards I'm dealt with I might never get girls I find attractive no matter how much I improve my self. The only good thing about my life at the moment is that I'm a med student and I love medicine. I'm also smart and at the top of my class. But I don't want my whole life to revolve around that. I also do not want to be that dorky doctor girls want to settle with in the end, who eventually only like him for his resources. So I know this is a bit of a rant, but what can I do to stop this defeatist attitude I'm dealing with. The second I see a better looking dude, I start thinking about how easy his life is and how he can get girls without lifting a finger. I have a big list of things I want to accomplish but I just can't help but feel down. Any good books/articles on how to deal with situations similar as mine? And is there anyone who was in a similar situation and knew how to deal with it?
