The problem with masculinity is that we do have a very strong ability to just "grin and bear it" out of duty. It's in our DNA, we can stay in the trench and shit our guts out thanks to the dysentery, but we won't desert, we'll die in that trench if we have to. We know we're strong enough to just sit there and take it, and we do have hamsters so we rationalize it as our cross to bear.

It's a terrible trait and it's a leftover from a long gone time. Cut it out of you, don't ever procrastinate. Your plate acting up? Either correct her behavior or if it's too far gone to be corrected, walk immediately. Your friends are worthless stoners? Make new friends tomorrow. Your SO talks down to you? Grab her, make her look into your eyes and hold her there, and tell her she's out on the street if you catch that tone in her voice again.

You catch her lying or making up stories to justify something that's off, you know what to do. Tell her you don't really give a shit about trying to figure out what actually happened, you know she's being dishonest and leaving things out, and that alone is enough for you. Don't waste time playing detective or letting her invent wild stories that help you hamster staying with her. If she's lying about excuses for why she doesn't want to put out, you don't need to investigate further. Who really gives a shit why? Put her ass back on the street.

If you can't cut a hoe off, you'll wind up folding clothes feeling nauseous when you look at your wife's underwear.

At this point the bitch wife has two choices: Hit the gym, start ~~lifting~~ Pilates and yoga, lose weight to try and keep her husband, or take the easier path and divorce him so she can take his income. If the kids are 18 or almost 18 she won't get shit for child support, so her window is closing. I wonder which path she will take?

You can't fuck other women if your own wife doesn't want to fuck you even if she understands that you need sex more often as a man. If you do, you better hope she doesn't find out otherwise it will come at the cost of your salary.

Actually, you can because no fault divorce means cheating on her is no worse than not. And if you figure divorce is inevitable anyways, it's a last ditch effort to get her back in line.

Okay - read the post - and I can say unilaterally that its this guys fault - in fact - he made several critical mistakes

1) got married - huge mistake 1
2) he freely admits that sex was always a sore point in the relationship - should've just quit the marriage and go the divorce route when he was much earlier in his career. The payments would thus be lower than if he got a divorce now (even with factoring child support)
3) This is debatable - but He might have waited too long to start meaningful restorative work to his life. He's 40 - and it will take at least 3-5 years to get his shit back together again - but now he'll be doing it with less friends and social support. Getting divorce at 30 is a lot easier than 40

I can't read the dead bedroom sub. It is just too depressing. Part of the problem is that the bulk of the people in the situation never pull the trigger. Many of them sound like their lives are utter misery, so it is hard to see how leaving or cheating would make it worse.
