That doesn't matter. To a single woman, her only concern is with her own reproductive schedule and options.

We all think and operate on a scale that starts with the personal and goes from there. And for most women, it never goes beyond the personal (e.g. solipsism).

Seems to involve the 80/20 'rule' more than hypergamy. (But then again I still havent resolved my problems with the definition of hypergamy)

Uh, am I reading this right? Correlation between number of mates and fertility in males? Anyone know any studies showing an attraction vs. notch count in humans? If the ones with higher partner count are more fertile, then it would make sense for the behavior to prefer males with a higher partner count to evolve. Sure, we've seen it in action as personal anecdotes, but I don't recall having seen it clinically tested.
