Summary: Taking women’s dating advice is not treating them like children.

The other day I was thinking about how women’s advice on dating often does not match their actions. TRP advocates the controversial view to treat women as children. Why not use this heuristic instead of taking a woman’s advice on dating at face value?

A good relationship dynamic between a man and a woman is very similar to that of a parent and a child. Would a parent listen to a child’s advice on good parenting? A child most likely thinks a good parent is someone who takes their kids on shopping trips for candy and toys instead of sending them to school. What is in the child’s best interest is not necessarily in the family’s best interest. Therefore, a child must be guided by a proper parent.

Similarly, a woman most likely thinks a good man is someone who buys them expensive dinners and sends them good morning texts everyday. What is in the woman’s best interest is not necessarily in the couple’s best interest. Therefore, she must be guided by a proper man.

Lessons learned:

  • Don’t listen to women’s dating advice

  • Treat women like children
