I worked retail at a mall for 3 years doing commissioned sales. It taught me how to interact with highly successful people as well and spark instant conversation with people working or just browsing. I owe a lot of my financial success in business to the shopping malls. I go and browse the malls for fashion and things that I'm into and generally talk to girls in line for a coffee.. I don't really get where you're coming from man

It's my belief that most people that shop at "Shopping Malls" are not what I would consider highly successful. You are fortunate to have had a favorable experience. The environment is built and manufactured to be enjoyable, thats the point. You can watch the Bachelor so you have something to talk about with the girls in line at coffee but the environment itself is toxic to a realistic perception of life. It's a distraction meant to influence you. And it's influencing you to act a specific way. You may flourish in that environment, but if you exam the people in the mall, its filled with BP males and guys fat on the modern consumerist diet.

Yes, the south coast plaza and fashion island are for the non-successful.
The Louis Vitton and Rolex stores there really cater to the Hoi polli.

Where I think you're right is that shopping malls have nothing for sale of quality or high value.

I don't watch tv. I cut the cord years ago. Mainly what I talk about with women are observable. It's as simple as commenting on their shoes, or the service situation or maybe something you both witnessed. I've only been RP for about 5 months or so but there's plenty of post about how to hold a conversation

It depends on the shopping mall and the store in question. If the anchor tenant is Wal-Mart, then move along.

What store did you work at though? It wasn't the clearance rack at JC Penney I bet.

I worked in men's suits and apparel at dillards. Most of my personal clients were lawyers, business owners and foreign nationals. Since the mall is a public place you can be sure that I had my fair share of losers and below avg people but the 10-15% helped me pay for my own business later down the road.

I get what you're saying but It's not that serious my nigga lol. Go to the mall. Using your same logic, I shouldn't even go outside my house.

Kind of what I think.
I havent gone to the malls hardly at all in the past few years though, the last time I did was with a (male) friend who was shopping for stuff before getting stationed in Japan. We werent there that long, but I was bored out of my mind the entire time.
I pretty much only like a mall if they have a good bookstore I can nerd out in for awhile. Although if trying to "daygame" then the mall tends to have a lot of targets.

No way man. I'll go to the mall because the people watching at malls is unparalleled. Well, outdoor shopping areas work as well. But really, you can post up in a chair and just watch people walk by and observe human behavior. One of my favorite pastimes.

"Hey! Hey! What kind of phone you got? Who's your carrier? C'mon we can give you a better deal! 39.99 unlimited minutes and data. Best coverage in the country! C'mon, stop walking away! I know you can hear me your headphones aren't pluged into anything"
That's why I avoid malls.

In case you guys haven't noticed, malls are in decline in the US. People are going back to downtown shopping areas or shopping online. The weaker malls are closing.
[–]trpintrper 5 points5 points5 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
The mall is just part of the gynocentric Western world. I see no point in avoiding a mall unless you have been frequenting the place to daygame chicks there constantly and you have a negative reputation.
If you go there once and a while it is a great place to daygame and make new plates.

for a laugh look up what the PUAs and the internet hate mob did to Toronto's most famous mall, Eaton Centre.

sh*t's getting insane

Thinking way too fucking much and missing the point, man. If you're a suggestible person, but rp aware, you should go to the mall to practice your frame, figure out how stupid consumer culture is, and talk to random people. If you aren't suggestible, then who cares.

all this mall shit is superficial. if you're alpha, you're above it. if you're beta, you didn't stand a chance in the first place.

rsd Max offers a completely opposite perspective in this video on dating without spending a dime. He outlines how to have a great date at the mall and spend nothing but time. https://youtu.be/PQG6bqHT8IY

The guy with the whoville man bun? He also states this is a PUA trick. And if you are fucking broke, sure, you can take someone on a date at the mall. He also suggests a grocery store, or a book store, or a park(better IMO). Most of what he describes is gimmick. He also said if his "friend" would buy clothes a girl picked out for him even if they are ridiculous or if he was feeling fair, he would buy her clothes.
This is a joke.
edit: This same guy suggests breaking the mold and avoiding all the influence he told you to subject yourself to by going to the mall on a date. https://youtu.be/20npGd8JunY

Are in high school? Shopping malls are fucking terrible and not the place for anyone over age of 18, except beta husbands and other white knights.

Men are lucky to have a timeless fashion that lasts several decades. Stay simple and high class.
Vegetable oil tanned brown full grain cow leather shoes, belt, wallet etc. can easily be bought or made.
Blue jeans or dark grey suit pants are 30$ a pair and can be worn anywhere but the gym. A matching suit vest or jacket depending on your frame, and choose your shirt.
