Good common questions. I'll try and be helpful and answer them as I understand it (and inevitably be corrected)

The successful marriages could be all sorts of things, rich guys, alpha guys that manage to maintain long term attraction, religious people who don't believe in divorce, older generations that have a traditional outlook on life, immigrants who brought their non-western mating paradigm into the states with them, people that just happen to be lucky or bear through the problems and make it work. My sister is on year 9 of marriage to her college sweetheart and seems to be doing okay, she has a cynical view of modern women and goes out of her way to try and be a good wife. I think you'd be in pretty good shape if you could find a woman like her, though you might have to look into religious circles to get it.

This stuff works on all women, all humans have the capacity for cruelty in themselves, even the smart ones, perhaps especially the smart ones. I haven't found many women that are able to put rationality before feelings and make logical decisions about things. Feels seem to trump everything and they use a mental gymnastics (i.e. hamster) to rationalize their decisions after the fact. To be fair guys are capable of hamstering as well, but in general are way more willing to adhere to a code, thus we are given codes to adhere to that serve their interests over our own, and generally can't beat them at their own game by giving them any codes. I don't really see it as a moral failing on the part of women, they know right from wrong but take advantage of the assumption of their innocence for their own gain. I'm not sure if we would act any different in their position. Alas, this is how the world is, and we've learned it through the aggregation of all our experiences, dispute that experience at your own peril, we're only trying to spare each other the pain.

I'm in favor of marriage if you want kids, if only for the child's sake. There are sections of our community that cover family life that you may find useful. If I were to do it, I'd try my luck with a deeply religious girl, move to Utah and be a mormon, or something. I like alcohol and loud music too much to fit into a strict religion though, and thus the traditional values church girls are largely inaccessible to me, the remaining option is to import one from a non western country. I think the guys that nail girls down into long term relationships before they get out of school have the best luck, assuming they keep their game tight and suppress their urges to stray. Once you are out into the professional world and free of the shelter of the education fishbowl, you enter into the second hand market of damaged women and spinning plates becomes your best option.

If you're in one of the common law marriage jurisdictions, it won't matter if you don't marry. If you have children with the woman, or cohabit for x number of months, she's as good as married in the eyes of the law, and can divorce rape anytime.

Assuming that's your situation, pretty much the only thing you can do when it "gets serious" is lawyer up, do the prenup, and then cross your fingers and pray it works out for the long haul with her. It's always getting harder and harder for men to legally cover their own ass in this arena, so future prospects not very good.

Do TRP principles apply to highly educated women? In my experience, they apply even more to highly educated and naturally sharp girls. I'm quite attracted to the type, and used to pedestalize them because they are rare. Predictably, this means my own appeal to them always took a serious hit and I wasn't even aware. TRP principles help by inviting you to treat all women the same (AWALT): silly girls, smart girls, beautiful girls, ugly girls, even your own Mother dearest. It always applies.

And finally, if TRP is against marriage, what does it recommend for people who plan on having children?

Don't have children. All they do is take your money and time for 16-23 years and then die. Instead, buy a yacht and a timeshare in Hawaii. Then, when all your blue pill friends are posting pictures of their children eating boogers, you can post a picture of your yacht off the coast of Maui.

The older people I've known who had great marriages married early and married for love, worked together and stuck together. I know it sounds really gay but I believe in loving someone with proper equality and shit its just that women these days are told they should ride the cock carousel and almost all of them do.

But by the time you're 30 its pretty much just all about looks and money. So if you want the real thing you gotta do it before 25.

As for people my own age who have "good" marriages they usually just consist of a conceited bitch and a beta who would be lucky to get laid by anything.

don't forget that all marriages that last aren't always happy

so it is more like 50% divorce, 25% unhappily married, 25% married

that is a lot of risk to throw half your net worth on. instead just get married without a marriage license.
