your original question: what makes a Chad attractive? imo there isn't a lot of research on physical attractiveness in males, but what is known is that symmetry, sexual dimorphism, and averageness are generally attractive. there isn't one version of an attractive person, which is what complicates any analysis. facial features can be complimentary, for example, so a certain kind of feature might look good in the context of other features present. the tldr for attractiveness in males is: height (i.e. long bone growth), body fat percentage, hairline and hair quality, sexual dimorphism in the face (malar region, chin, jaw, brow), musculature, voice quality, lack of any significant deviations in any features in a way that could be unattractive.

of the above, the only we have good control over without substantial cost is body fat and musculature. that's why you constantly hear people saying to lift and to drop your body fat in the sub 15% range.

with that said, cosmetic surgery can touch on sexual dimorphism in the face extremely well, and surgical/non-surgical approaches can address hairline and hair quality very well in most men. for the risk tolerant and wealthy, limb-lengthening is an option that will add 2-5 inches of height in a way that leaves you proportioned. voice deepening surgery still has unpredictable outcomes and isn't a staple of male cosmetic surgery in 2016. cosmetic surgery can fix certain deviations if they exist.

if you're serious about cosmetic surgery, it will be expensive. i do not say this from a theoretical standpoint; i know what surgeons charge for the procedures you might care for. for example, a custom jawline implant will cost about $13k. custom malar implants might be $8k. a hair transplant might be $10-15k per, or SMP for $7k. rhinoplasty could be up to $8k depending on which areas of the nose are touched on. these are all 2016 prices. they could be more in the future as demand increases, or maybe less as custom implant manufacturers decrease prices (e.g. the custom jawline implant costs $5k to manufacture, but that's included in the costs i put above). the revision rates for cosmetic surgery are high. that $13k custom jawline implant has a 40% revision rate, often because the implants are too big (patients often ask for bigger implants, sometimes against the advice of the surgeon).

cosmetic surgery is a complicated process and requries a stupid amount of research if you want to go into it somewhat informed. you can't just go to any cosmetic surgeon for this stuff, because most of cosmetic surgery is oriented towards procedures for women. that is, a cosmetic surgeon is not trained for every kind of procedure and may not have the knowledge to tell you what procedures exist that make sense. you need one who works in the niche field of male cosmetics. and even with that said, some kinds of implants, like custom implants (they're 3D printed by medical device companies), are so new that many cosmetic surgeons may not be aware they exist.

figuring out what makes sense in terms of what procedures to pursue for the face is challenging. cosmetic surgeons may be reserved in telling you what would make you more attractive because (a) there is no single attractive face; (b) they might not have great intuition for which procedures would provide the most benefit in the context of an attractive male face balancing cost & risk; (c) they may not want to take an active role in picking out procedures as they assume some level of professional risk if you are not satisfied; (d) maybe other reasons. there are no resources for understanding what makes an attractive male face.

any trait that makes you visibly more powerful and appears natural.

ie if the chad candidate is an idiot or has a girly voice it will undo him. obviously things like grooming and height are overvalued due to genetic imprints and mass advertising, simple as that.

traits like having good attention span and aptitude for technology are undervalued, but they are still traits and in the right environment you can appear better if you have them.

different girls value different things differently just like you like different shapes of ass and tits.

the chad fuckboy type thats all hype has all the atavistic overvalued traits but none of the recently important ones, making him a caricature of envy. if chad happaned to also luck out on the other traits he would no longer be a fuckboy but he would become a superhero.

but it goes beyond this. there are soft traits like having a strong immune system or a peculiar vibe thats very popular and can't quite be faked/learned and this way you get those average looking naturals who are not outwardly chad

if you tweak your traits right, stop shooting yourself in the ass and get into the right environs you would be surprised how far your success goes up. your whole growth as a male animal is really only a vehicle to compensate for nature not being able to give you the full toolbox to male power by age 5 like say, a lion would. exploit this. you can also exploit technology, like nootropics and steroids to get an edge, but never ruin your enjoyment of life by grinding too hard because you will shoot yourself in the foot this way and you will end up being a slave to moloch.

another important thing, chads and naturals are very vulnerable because they often play at a level of risk that they can't handle, they always fall prey to dark triad men/women because they are typically easy pickings for those in power.

and another note - plastic surgery is typically overrated because you can do a whole lot more for your smv for the money unless you got basic issues like a broken nose , aging or some skin condition, surgery gets more viable over time, but you should explore better areas to invest in if you are just an average guy, getting a longer jaw is nice, but you will mostly look like yourself , have the same movement and speech patterns , have the same outlook on life and the same intelligence , the same skin complexion , height muscle mass etc. unless you are very dedicated into morphing into duke nukem or something and talentless in anything else, you can basically use the same effort to get mini celeb status in some area for the same effort, so why bother going the hard road when ugly naturals use whatever works for them to pull steal the chads girls?

I'm asking because i'm contemplating plastic surgery at one point if my career plan and future stock portfolio go well. Just a guy trying to raise his status as high as humanly possible as we know beautiful people receive preferential treatment.

Before going to that extent, a good year or two (depending on where you're starting from) of consistent working out and clean eating will go a long way to upping your SMV. I'd recommend looking into monk mode if you haven't already.

Chicken and egg question. Good looking people are treated differently from the time they are young. So of course they develop in a different way. They have more natural confidence and therefore are not afraid to get involved in more activities, which leads to more relationships, more popularity. Remember high school and there was always the good looking guy who "did it all." Captain of the such and such team, president of this club, straight A's etc. Was he really the best at everything? He probably had the confidence at a young age from others treating him well to go out and be his best self. The less attractive guy in the corner might have actually developed into a better football player. But he never tried because he accepted his role. Gross oversimplification, but might be somewhat of an answer to this question.
