This country. So friendly, so happy, so fucked up, so conservative and so fucking leftist at the same time...

I think the reason a lot of women are lashing out vs this program is that they believe the hosts' criticism to be said on behalf of all men, when they are in fact only speaking for themselves. They see it as a public condemnation of a few specific flaws that the hosts do not like, when in reality, it is merely a showcase of the hosts' thoughts and a window into how men will typically discuss a woman's body.

edit: I guess you can ask me anything about living in feminist Scandinavia.

The political spectrum is a false dichotomy. Instead of thinking of it as a line think of it as a circle. By going too far left you end up on the right. Now it should make more sense.

[–]iKill_eu 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Very true, but Denmark is split between the moderately left majority, the conservative minority and the ultraleft minority. So we're huddled with feminisms everywhere.

[–]AlwaysLateToThreads 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This sounds like a clusterfuck of madness that's worse than the U.S.

[–]iKill_eu 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

it might well be.

I'm visiting the states for the first time in October. I will compare and report back.

[–]AlwaysLateToThreads -3 points-2 points-1 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You should check out Maryland. It's the greatest state of all the states. I'm not just saying this because I'm a Marylander. >.>

Edit: The "Y" in Maryland and Marylander is silent.

[–]iKill_eu 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So Marland?

And I'll be in Seattle for 4 weeks, not much wiggle room sadly. I'll make it a point to visit again to broaden my horizons a bit. :)

[–]AlwaysLateToThreads 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's more like "Mareland" actually. I've been to Seattle once and had a good time. It's on the other side of the U.S.

Seattle is nothing like Maryland though. I'm sure you'd have a good time visiting multiple States and seeing what they're like if you get the chance.

Danish?

I have no personal experience of Denmark, but Roosh paints a rather horrible picture.

[–]iKill_eu 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Yeah... I read Don't Bang Denmark recently. As much as I hate to admit it, most of it is accurate.

To summarize it for those who haven't: Danish women often look and act masculine, and alpha females eager to criticise and command men are very common. A cultural phenomenon known as Jante Law dictates that no one is above anyone else, and breaking it is taboo. This puts a knife in the heart of classic game, because DHV'ing is seen as inappropriate, and responding to anything a woman says with humor or redirection will typically be met with a "shut the fuck up and answer my question" look. To put it bluntly, Denmark is the high fortress of the bitch shields.

I disagree with Roosh in his statement that Danish women aren't attractive. I've seen plenty of attractive Danish girls, but then again, I've lived here my whole life so I'm probably conditioned to it.

Being any kind of redpill in Denmark is hard, because our country is mostly in a feminist chokehold.

[–]freewanderer 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Ah, what a shame.

As for attractiveness of Danish girls, according to this OKC survey, they seem to be doing alright.

[–]iKill_eu 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I think the common consensus is that we have a LOT of 6s and 7s, a few 8s, and not too many 1-5s. So the average is good but you don't get the bombshells.

[–]freewanderer 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That sounds pretty good actually. Too bad about the attitudes.

[–]iKill_eu 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah.

I had a really funny moment about a week ago where I went to a get-together at an old female friend's place, brought a blue-turning-redpill mate with me. There were 4 of her friends there as well, one of whom is a very alpha female with a bitch shield the size of Germany.

So they kinda fall into their female circle routine, and at one point the alpha girl starts complaining about guys and "how you should never let GUYS make any decisions, because they just can't." So at this point I just look her in the eye across the room and say "So who do you think should be making the choices instead?"

She looked like she'd seen a ghost. I don't think she gets people standing up to her often. Funnily enough she was a lot more receptive to me for the rest of the night. If I didn't have an LTR (I know, I know) I could probably have fucked her on a repeat date. She was probably a 7 or so.

Ah, it's nice to be vindicated. Besides, the Jante Law was on your side :P

[–]iKill_eu 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Hardly, Jante Law most often sides with the female in modern Denmark. A byproduct of feminism, though the concept itself is a couple hundred years old.

[–]zedmeyn -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Danish women are mad attractive, walking around in Copenhagen for a couple days I swear 1 in 10 girls was a 9/10, no joke. (I'm not even particularly into blondes, mixed girls are my thing)

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

you shouldn't take his one man's subjective marginalization of a country's women to heart. if you're spitting game, there will be women. although this is a scathing excerpt, i'll quote one of my favorite new bloggers

Roosh V certainly likes to lash out. He denounces American women in general, thinks little of the many countries and cities where he didn’t really get anywhere, and is always quick to find an excuse for his lack of success. It seems whenever he doesn’t get laid yet again, it’s apparently because feminism and US-style materialism have finally taken over the entire country on the very day he arrived. This then makes Roosh construct an alternative reality in which Swedish girls are fat, Danes look like dogs, and where London sucks. Apparently he lives on a different planet than I do.

I do think there are just two reactions Roosh evokes in his readers, which also explains why he doesn’t get bashed so much online. Anybody who’s travelled a bit just immediately realizes that Roosh is full of shit and bitter because he doesn’t get laid.

i'm tired of shitty advice being spread by shitty behemoths of the pickup community.

Its worth noting that Blachman was the non-PC judge on X-Factor.

The show was labeled as "two men talking about the naked female body", but it's a lot more. People seem to be outraged based on the trailers and media hype, not because they've seen the show.

Blachman & guest talk about themselves, porn, marginalization of masculinity, lack of male role models, positive/negative objectivization of women, differences between men and women, male self-realization, etc. etc. - and the female body standing before them, of course, but that's really the least of it. And they're unerringly positive about the naked form they're looking at.

The shitstorm surrounding the show is IMO a bit funny. Naked bits are OK on late-night TV as long as it's not porn, and their comments really can't offend anyone. Except for Swedish feminists, one of which tried to flip the script. Naturally, they almost immediately talk about his genitalia and how vulnerable and helpless it looks, sitting outside the body. IOW, the swede completely failed at copying the concept, and made something degrading.

It's a bit like the Mohammed-cartoon-crisis where a lot of people went berserk based on what their Imam said, not something they'd seen with their own eyes.

I think the real question is: The reaction to the show is certainly blue-pill, but is the show itself red pill?

[–]excessory 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm definitely stealing this line from one of Blachman's guests, Stan Hegeler:

I was once on a TV program and there was a fanatic feminist who spoke about how terrible it was to be a sex object.

And I said, "There is something worse than that."

"What's that?"

"Not being a sex object."
