She is playing dumb. She is aware of that. That's the reason you can't have platonic chick friends, because, even if she's not attractive to you she'll think she is and try to get you to do stuff for her, which is, incidentally, why she's playing dumb.

Also it might be just for the friendship, because (I think I read it somewhere here) "some women are so irritating that the only friends they can have is the ones that want to be in their pants".

All a bunch of bullshit. This is her engaging her purity shield so that she can lie to herself and remain "innocent" in doing this. She knows exactly what she is doing and knows what those guys want. She just doesn't find them attractive enough to worry about. So this is her using those friends that find her attractive and leaching their time and other resources.

Women never make as good of friends as men and they all know that so they friendzone the fuck out of guys in order to mooch off of them. Check out all of her guy friends and analyze how much they put into the relationship vs. how much she puts in and you will see how one sided a friendship with a woman is.

In other words she is playing dumb to get more out of the relationships while giving nothing in return. Their desire for her is being exploited for her benefit.

Yes. I have a female friend that I made when I was really orbiting one of her friends, I never got to fuck the friend but became really good friends with her. She's extremely attractive but I can say that if I was naked in the same bed with her I would not have any interest in fucking her, and she feels the same way. My friendship with her does elevate my status considerably since I'm in a lot of the photos she posts to Facebook.

My answer is yes, kind of.

My best example - I went out on a date with a girl who I would definitely hook up with, but we hit it off really well as friends. There's probably a little sexual tension, but it just doesn't seem to go there with either of us - it would seem forced at this point. I'll text her just to joke around with her. I usually don't do that with girls I'm dating or interested in very much.

There's a little bit of a feeling that a drunk hookup might happen eventually, but that almost seems weird to me now and I'm pretty sure I'd regret it. I like having her friendship and don't want it to be any different than it is now. I'm fairly certain that her feelings are about the same. Very happy friendzone for everyone involved.

I hooked up with another girl recently that I was developing a good friendship with and now the friendship part is weird. It sucks, I wish we'd never hooked up. Also it kind of closed off that friend circle for meeting other women or bringing around other girls I'm seeing, at least for now.

Also there are other women I think are great to be around but I'm not attracted to. Who knows how they feel about me though - if they're hoping for more then I guess those don't count.

I will say that girl friendships are definitely different from guy friendships. You don't expect the same things from them and you don't treat them the same. It's kind of like a weird cross between a male friend, a sister, and a girlfriend you have been with for a while. They're still a woman after all, you can't expect guy things from them just because you're not banging them.

I think it's technically possible but very very rare, like to the point that a sizable number of people never encounter a genuine one. I know I haven't, almost every girl I have met is very uncomfortable hanging out with a guy one-on-one (or hanging out as the only girl in a group of guys) unless she's planning to sleep with him/one of them.

Of course almost everyone has seen or experienced friendships that were supposedly "platonic," but the whole point of this sub is that what girls tell you is often different from reality, so yeah. As far as girls either being naive or playing dumb, again, I think it is possible that there are some girls out there who really are just that naive.... but far more often than not, they're smarter than that, it just serves their interests to pretend otherwise.

I think the correct way to think about opposite sex relationships is as always having a romantic/sexual component. This may take many many forms, but it's healthier to be aware of it then to imagine it's not there.

girl's SMV is higher, so there's a tendency for him to become an orbiter
guy's SMV is higher - many possibilities. Most likely, especially if she's attached, is a long term, reasonably successful platonic relationship but one where you have to keep an eye on her blowing up for no apparent reason, sometimes without even her being aware why.
similar SMV, both non-attached - probability of hookup
similar SMV, at least one attached - lower possibility of hookup, but still there.

Now, this is all just an undercurrent. The actual relationship could be mostly professional, or friendly, or even a loose family relation. But being aware of it means less surprises, and a better relationship overall.

Yes, of course -- and I've never had an unattractive woman friend, either. The company of unattractive women is unrewarding even if platonic.

Needless to say NEVER use friendship with a woman as a means to seduce her. It works 15% of the time, but 90% of that 15% are drunk fucks or pity fucks and she will absolutely hate you afterwards. The other 85% of the time you are just a pathetic beta orbiter.

But even when you have no seductive agenda, it still works best if you are in a good LTR.

When you're single, the emotional energy of a close friendship with women is very taxing. If she doesn't have a boyfriend she's inevitably looking for you for validation, but the only way that men truly validate women is by fucking them; the alternatives work poorly. If she has a boyfriend, she's inevitably going to try to fill some gap in their relationship with you, even if you knew her first. Once she knows you're "taken" though it writes you out of a lot of those scripts in her head and that's much, much better.

I'm going to go against the grain and say that yes, such a relationship is possible. It's extremely unlikely - there are usually going to be feelings going at least one way, but it is definitely possible.

Source: One of my high schrool female friends is a girl who I was never attracted (not my type) to but was fun to hang out with (and is one of the reasons that I can attest to the effectiveness of a wingwoman). I later found out that there was never any attraction on her side either (she's happy with her girlfriend). We've done things like cuddle whilst watching movies, but it's never been sexual, and neither of us has ever attempted to move it further.

That said, I am certainly in the minority here, so as you suspect, she's probably faking it - especially if she's got a 10/10 body and a good face. Why are they playing dumb? Plausible deniability. If you haven't figured out that the world runs on it yet, I can only assume you haven't been paying attention. The easiest way to tell if she's faking it is if she's having sex with other guys whilst maintaining orbiters - if she is, she certainly knows what she's doing, and will only sleep with a man who can read the subtext well enough to call her on it (no guarantees that just doing that will be enough, but it's the entrance requirement).

The only female friends I have I do because they're the friends of male friends. I've either been attracted to, or already slept with all females I've gone out of my way to befriend. The only exception being girls who act like "one of the guys" who went out of her way to befriend me and my friends. However all of these women were attracted to either me or my friends.
