Why would you care what your family likes? It's your life.
I envy your position. Just starting Uni at a young age and already red pilled.
You sound like you are on track. Just go out and try, make some mistakes. Learn. Try again

Fuck your family. Join a frat. I didn't, and regret it, MAJORLY. Fraternity brothers will be some of your closest friends for at least the rest of your time in college, probably a few years after.
Just don't join one where you don't fit in. If you like the group, join it.

You are a beta bitch if you are not going to join a frat because of your parents.

Also im probably not going ti join a frat, my family wouldn't like that.
Join a frat you fucking mummy's boy. Learn to be the kind of loud douchy guy that women say they hate and secretly fuck.
Any advice on how to attract girls in college?
Be attractive. Read the sidebar. Read how to be an attractive man. Work out what women your age like (mostly looks and social dominance).
Life pro tip: date outside college as much as you can.

Why are people downvoting this?
Of my friends who went to college, the ones who came out as confident pussy slayers were the ones who rushed a frat. Frats are the only aspect I regret about doing a trade instead of going to college. All the rest of my friends who didn't go the frat route just ended up abusing amphetamines for 4 years straight and wasting their free time with video games and shit. Not the life I'd want to live.

So the dudes who live next to you that are partying and having fun with a bunch of girls are douchey? You do realize that they are exactly like you but realize that being loud and having fun with girls works right? I recommend joining them.
Just hang out with them . I'm sure they'll be down.

But no LDRs. Just like same vicinity as college.

I'm gonna agree with everyone else, join a frat, basically everything MattyAnon is saying in his comment.
What i wanna say though is GO ON FUCKING EXCHANGE, big universities always have tons of agreements with universities abroad, all over the world. Research that shit, find a good one that has the needed courses that fits your major, is in a place you want to go etc. And just fucking go man, come back to your home university and tell all the girls about your experiences abroad and watch their panties drop.
I went on an exchange semester, but i would go for a full year if i could do it over again. Since you just started college you should spend your first year or so at your home university to get settled, but 2nd or 3rd or 4th year or whatever is perfect to do abroad. Here's an even better idea, lift hard and practice game and all that shit for a year or two THEN go abroad armed with TRP knowledge and looking buff. You're gonna swim in pussy that whole year you're abroad i guarantee you. I'm getting carried away here but i'm 100% serious about this, i had the time of my life when i went on exchange, been thinking about writing a post on it for our college TRPers.

Is even possible to be consistent with hookups if your not in a frat/athlete or at least have more than average number if them?

Yeah... Of course it is. I mean. You can join a frat and be a frat douche (or a respectable person in a frat; there's a gradient) and get laid all you want. If that's not congruent with who you are as a person or who you are trying to become though, does it matter? All being in a frat does is get the logistics of a party taken care of. I've had plenty of success being baller in classes and just gaming people I've met through classes. Or clubs. Or hanging out. Or meeting others, through people.
So when it comes time, I invite people to my place because I know how to throw a party and entertain people and I cook bomb as fuck food, and I get to be in as much control over the party as possible. And it's all people I've screened and selected there and I know I'm going to have a wonderful time anyways.
Think of it like an ecosystem or something. I sacrifice abundance of people and less controll of the potential outcomes (i don't invite drunk dicks who are going to lose me my security deposit or get us evicted or called the cops on). You can join a fraternity or you can carve out your own. Pros and cons.
