As some of you may or may not know, The 80/20 Rule is formally called The Pareto Principle and applies in a LOT more contexts than just sex.

I'm just going to leave some raw data here for y'all, along with an article that has something of a tl;dr at the bottom.

I'm sure The 80/20 probably has a lot to do with geography, culture, etc. After all, you're going to get a lot more action in downtown LA than you will outside The Vatican.

Not really sure what my opinion is yet. Curious what the rest of TRP thinks. I definitely don't think it's quite as cut-and-dry as a lot of folks here would have us believe. The numbers don't quite add up to that notion.

I dream of a day when TRP can have some actual freaking DATA to back us up. That's the reason everyone else on the internet thinks we're King of the Shitlords; we make a lot of sweeping generalizations without anything other than anecdotal evidence. How about some real data for once, eh?

I encourage you to sweep everything you think you know under the rug and examine the evidence without bias.

The author concludes that, when it comes to sex, there is no 80/20 Rule. Though he also admits limitations on the given data.

I've always thought the 80/20 holds water, but now... maybe it's time we rethink it, or at least consider that it's not carved in stone. But there's a metric butt-ton of data here. If you come to a different conclusion, at least now you'll have some numbers to back your ass up.

This obviously all depends on what one defines as "sexually successful".
