This app is bad, the video is actually worse:

  • from the guy's perspective: did you notice how the guy was the one initiating most of the interactions? Did you notice how he was the one doing most of the action with the woman just being on the receiving side?

  • from the woman's perspective: not only this creates an impossible MO for any guy, since it requires mindreading which nobody has, all of the actions can be classified as romantic or creepy, depending on the context and on the woman. Moreover any woman would get tire of such puppy-like behavior from a guy, and would eventually either leave him, or cheat on him with a real man, or both.

It's an injustice to everyone.

Goofy beta crap aside, I don't get it. What does this do that I can't do with my phone already? Stupid. And I bet they charge $5 for it and make a fortune.

I think this is what I need to do with my life. Imagine the most beta thing imaginable, make an app for it, profit.

The rise of marketing is also the rise of female consuming power.

Don't get me wrong, not every male is a rational consumer, but I feel marketing mostly preys on emotion minded women.

Yeah. There's that statistic where women control 70-80% of consumer spending. I think they basically teach this in any intro to advertising or communications class (as well as the rise of targeting children to bug their mom's for stuff in commercials).

Then there's a whole lot of spending on the account of women by men (drinks, restaurants, bars, clubs, clothes). If it attracts women, men will follow along dumbly.

Bingo! I bet if you tracked American debt the overwhelming majority would be held by women and men who racked up debt on behalf of a woman.

Most of these "couple" apps are about having a password-protected way to send naked pics and sexy (text/video)chats back and forth. I assume this is the same deal. Basically, you can't accidentally send your pic to the wrong person, and you don't have to worry about people snooping through your text messages just because your phone is unlocked.
