I hope to cultivate a discussion among fellow RPers who are in college who are more focused on their academics on how they foster and develop their SMV. I know all the usual stuff about work out, be social, be involved, etc, and I am definitely doing that. However, as a CS major a good portion of my free time is spent studying (read: tracing memory leaks with valgrind) and so I feel adherently disadvantaged when compared to the typical party type guy. It seems like the guys who are most successful with woman at my college go out on most week nights and every weekend, which simply isn't doable due to my course-load. The main issue I run into is that it seems like the vast majority of women eat up these guys for their perceived higher SMV. When they say what frat their in or namedrop their friend who's in a leadership position for a frat, it gets women's attention. When they know the majority of people in the bar and have massive social circles, women notice. Basically it seems like that whenever they mention something related to the party lifestyle, it garners them points with women.

I'm not here to try to hate on this or say it shouldn't work this say, I'm just trying to make my college experience better. An example of something I've experienced a couple times is I've been chatting with a sorority girl and she'll ask what frat I'm in or if I'm going to Red Lion (local party bar), and I'll say no, I have a homework or a test, and her body language will ever so slightly shift to indicate less attraction. Feet no longer pointed at me and slightly to the side, less eye contact, IOIs like playing with hair become scarcer. Maybe I'm just going for the wrong type of women given my situation.

My question is as academic students, how can we cultivate our SMV's so we can get more attractive women besides the obvious like lift and dress better, given the college situation and our limited options regarding partying due to our academic requirements? Basically if you're already doing the basics, what can you do to tune your SMV?
