Life, by and large, will increase your misanthropy.

This is why it is very important to balance pursuit of women with some constructive, creative hobby or passion. Something that is just you in your own reality, where you are so intellectually or physically engaged that you DON'T therefore expect other people to be engaging to you. For example, I could give a FUCK if my girlfriend is "intelligent". Why? Because I have enough intelligence for the two of us; I am a grown man, I do not need her to provide me with intellectual stimulation or contribution. It just so happens my girlfriend is very smart academically, but if she wasn't, what would actually be different? If she was dumb as rocks but dedicated to keeping her hamster well maintained, being hot, and smart enough to not be leaving my kids alone in a bath with a hairdryer nearby, then I don't really care what her MCATs were.

Stop looking for the girls to stimulate your brain. Use something you're passionate about for that. Collaborate with smart people, do something great with your desire for intellectual engagement. Satiate that, then go interact with women you want to hook up with. That way, you'll communicate sexually with her and remember that she is in the club dolled up to get some D, not discuss scintillating topics and trade verbal jousts. She wants to get retarded, lose control of her perception of reality, meet a tall, dark, and handsome type who just "knows how to push her buttons", and get pumped and dumped. Why do you expect her to not be banal? Let her be banal! You provide enough uniqueness / excitement for the two of you.

I wouldn't call that misogyny. You are just running into girls who are boring as shit. Anyone could be less interesting than a brick wall; these ones are just women. There are interesting women around, they just aren't waiting to get fucked at some club.

Go to bookstores, libraries, a shopping mall, a grocery store, clothes shopping, concerts, or some type of interest meeting. I only run night game at house parties (no bars/clubs) and the vast majority (90%) of my hunting is day game. In my opinion, day game is superior to night game in the sense that it is pretty much just normal conversation and you don't even have to go out of your way-- instead of setting aside time to visit bars, just meet girls when you are running errands around town.

Try having an intellectual conversation when you're NOT at the pub or club. Those places are meant for drinking, dancing, and drunken converstations about nothing. Mostly because you can't hear shit in nightclubs.

Stay away from the big mainstream clubs in Ireland man. The girls that still like going there at your age have nothing to bring to the table.

Go somewhere slightly more alternative or casual as the people that go there aren't entirely banking on loud music, getting hammered and their looks to make their night worthwhile. Ireland has got to be one of the worst places for clubs. I've been out to a bunch of clubs in mainland Europe. It's a completely different vibe. Irish girls out clubbing are insecure drunks and terrified of breaking social norms. Also you've probably realised 5's think they're 9's in clubs here.

I'd say Irish girls are some of the lowest quality girls on the planet. In the end you cannot escape from this, your frame will not have stronger influence on a girl than the frame of her entire culture.

A lot of guys here are repeating that you don't discuss the meaning of life with bar girls, keep the conversation light, etc. I don't think this is your problem. This is the exact reason you cultivate group of adjusted, intelligent male friends. They are the ones that will meet you on your level and give you the interaction that you need.

Take your logic, rationality, and desire to discuss weighty issues with women, and throw it out the window. You do know that there is a big selection bias when you go to bars and clubs. You are going to find far more alcoholics than intellectuals. The vast majority of women of reproductive age don't even go to bars or clubs. If you have good night game and you want to fuck a random hot girl, then go to bars and clubs. But when is the last time you heard of someone marrying a girl he picked up at a bar or a club?

As an Irishman, I can honestly say it's not the same for me. If trying to chat up girls "frustrates and depresses" you, it is entirely you're own fault and you are still plugged in. You and only you are responsible for how you react and what emotions you feel.

That's not to say the frustration is not normal. It's something all BP men feel when trying to smash women. If you're listening and talking "the same tiresome shit" you are clearly interacting in her world, and she is in control. Talk about what interests you. If she doesn't reciprocate then next her. I don't do bars and shit, I stick to day game and meeting women through social groups. Its slower but I'm not in a hurry and I can read them better this way, there is less competition and they have far fewer advantages during the day, than in clubs or bars.

Yeah, I hate bars and clubs. Here's what I'd do. Make a list of all the thoughtful, intelligent and attractive (TIA) people in your life (men too, there's a reason for this!) and ask them out for coffee. Facebook is a great place to message people to plan these meetups. Talk, get to know what they're up to, etc. Meet at least a person a week, or 3/week if you're serious. Be genuinely kind, friendly, useful. Ask them about their lives.

Then, through them, get introduced to their TIA friends. Repeat. Along the way, you'll find mutual sexual attraction. But really, that's just the icing on the cake. Deliberately meeting the TIAs is a pleasure in itself.

When you are young or otherwise inexperienced with women, the fact that they are women is enough to get you excited. Once you get used to them, and you dig a little deeper, you find most of them are vapid and boring. Your estimation of them goes down.

You have to find value in what you think is valuable. Bars and clubs are there to make money, not meet your needs. They do so by meeting a perceived need, but obviously not the one you are looking for. Be careful of the difference.
