While I can appreciate AWALT, it's takes away that society can and did limit hypergamy and carousel-riding. Hell, that's a ton of what Islamic societies tries to varying success.
Consider this, when a family gets rich, it's a pretty well observed that the 1st generation works their ass off, 2nd generation still works hard but still has it much easier, and the 3rd generation is often pampered by parents, spoiling them, and conversely making them less mentally fit for rigors of sucess. All humans are like that. Bring them up like the 3rd generation, most will be spoiled.
In the same way, there were always sluts, but the environment changes things, and it wasn't in the same proportions and even the sluts probably got way sluttier. Just consider what the invention of the car did for women, who could suddenly escape farther away and beyond the reach of hometown gossip - small town girls back in the 1880s could only fuck around so much before her local reputation was ruined and she'd move at great expense or something to find a husband, maybe out west. Or even TV, making people watch their boobtube more and what the neighbors were doing way less. Today people have way more diversions than ever.
The environment is changing very fast. Social media is probably going to drive a ton of divorces and the marriage rate probably will drop even more now.
In the end, encouraging sluttiness benefits the top 20% of guys and the bottom 80% either have to live with it or go MGTOW.

Tons of women to fuck is good, but tons of women are only good to fuck. Back in the days a woman that hoed around was socially ostracized and men wouldn't marry her or had children with her. When I grew up men were apart of a family with their own children. Today fathers just pay child support and if their lucky they get the 'right' to visit their kids twice a month.

I'm probably going to get people strongly disagreeing with me but after some instrospection this is what I feel is at the root of a lot of slut hate. I believe it is envy. Would I have liked to have slept with 70 people by the time I was 20? Sure. But because of my gender that would have been a quest of Homeric and Tolkien proportions. I had to work for every girl I've ever slept with. Where as a slut simply opens her legs and "allows" someone the privilege of fucking her.
In other words it's a form of envy brought on by internally knowing just how unequal the genders are but always being told they are equal. Women should have to work just as hard to earn sexual intimacy right? Well wrong. And it offends the senses of anyone with idealized notion of justice.
And now I'm going to go on a bit of a tangent. Women have always been the gatekeepers of sex. This has always been the case and will never change. However always be aware of your power as a man. YOU are the gatekeeper of commitment. Feminism and gynocentrism have tried desperate to put as much power and as a little responsibilities of both these roles on to women, which is why while you'll see betas lining up for women getting off the CC. Just remember it's not worth it. You are gatekeeper of commitment. Leverage it to your benefit as ruthlessly as women have leveraged sex to their's.
