If the president's task force wants to deal with the problem of campus rape, then they should start with the problem of campus drinking.

Simple solution: Make it illegal for women to consume alcohol unless they have a certified and bonded supervisor with them.

There, problem solved. Cost to be paid for by the women who want to drink of course.

Nowhere does she consider that lowering standards of proof would harm non-rapist men. She is right about the difficulty in proving non-consent but fails to consider that women, being human, overwhelmingly lie when convenient.

There used to be a simple standard for this: Go home with a guy, it's consent. Go into a separate room at a party with a guy, it's consent. Women had to actually make a decision when this was the case. That was the real problem.

I still wouldn't call it irrevocable consent but it is a good policy for women to avoid separating from the group in an intimate setting with a guy they don't intend to fuck. There just aren't better ways to prove non-consent.

So a women goes home with a guy after a night at the bar with plans to sleep with him, and when she gets there he starts verbally assaulting her, being rough with her, and scaring her. She says no and she wants to leave, then he violently rapes her. That's consent under your simple standard, right?

No, a rape can happen in that scenario, but as a juror I'm going to acquit regardless of any circumstantial evidence, because if she trusted him not to rape her, I'm going to go with her judgement and assume a reasonable doubt that he did not. Once she makes that decision, only hard evidence will make me convict.

In other scenarios, I might be willing to convict with only circumstantial evidence, such as witness testimony.

Let's ask ourselves some common sense questions. If a guy is going home with a girl, how often does a guy suddenly become "rough", "verbally assaulting", or "scary"? There are some monsters out there who would prefer a struggle and a rape than consensual sex. Of those men, some of them are actually willing to risk their reputation and their entire life to rape, rather than fuck.

But that is a small percentage of men. I'm banking on the probability that this guy isn't one of them.

That's an important caveat. I also sympathize with your viewpoint on terms of admissibility of circumstantial evidence. If a women goes home with a man, and all we have is her words that he raped her, but she willingly went home with him, I wouldn't convict him either. Now, if she has unequivocal medical evidence supporting her as she went to the hospital later that night -- that's hard evidence I can get behind.

The problem isn't that women are saying guys raped them out of some type of malice or spite. The problem is they truly believe they were raped in many situations where they just regret their choice. But they are encouraged to 'come out and tell the truth,' and if some women comes out a decade later and says John Smith raped me 10 years ago, and I never told anyone, we are all encouraged to say "Oh you're so brave" as opposed to "bullshit" (aka victim-blaming).

If going to college will make you a better man, then you shouldn't let the establishment scare you. If you go to college you must prepare yourself for the hostile, misandric campus environment. Don't put yourself in a position which can harm your future or freedom. College girls are easy enough without alcohol; just stay away from the drunkards.

Instead of spending your free time at frat parties, spend your free time in the gym or doing other extra-curricular activities. There are many chances to meet women in college outside of the traditional college party scene. Alcohol seems to be the major cause for postcoital misunderstandings.

You can spend your free time doing all of those things and going to college parties.

You can decide for yourself whether you want to go, but college parties are usually the only thing happening after 10pm. These activities do not overlap time-wise.

For me that's not really the reason college isn't worth it. I just think it's an economic bubble for many careers out there vs 4 years lost work + tuition.

I know a bunch of people not putting their degree to use (either degree is useless or they decided to go into something else).

That is a choice only you can make; however, you should have a plan. Going to a union sponsored trade school could be an option for you; working with your hands and mind is a worthy path and could lead to entrepreneurship opportunities down the road. As a man, there is something very satisfying about helping build something tangible, no matter if that something is a road, building, or sewer system.

I would stay away from food service and retail though; I know very few people who are truly happy in those jobs; your long term happiness should be a priority as it influences your relationships and how effectively you can maintain your desired frame.

If one can get dual citizenship, say through immigrant parents, I really recommend an apprenticeship in Europe for certain trades, like anything cook or baking industry. Solar installation. Almost any craft. Etcetera.

The expense of school really isn't worth it. Unless you're going to a top college and are very likely to get a job that will pay it off fast, then it's a sound calculated risk, however if you're getting any kind of debt it's money you won't be able to use to go out and have fun.

Uh, this is actually a fantastic idea. You know why? Because the type of girl who would implement this advice is the type of girl who is most likely to accuse you of rape when she sobers up.

Obama's a pretty shitty president. It would make sense for him to pander to women if he was going for reelection, but he can't, so why is he saying this shit? Has the infection really spread so far that he thinks this shit is real?

I wonder how we would have fared with McCain or Romney. It wouldn't have been great, but we probably wouldn't have had Obamacare with an individual mandate and a president spewing feminist propaganda and embarrassing our country in front of the whole world.
