It does come from other women as well, but we can't help that. I just know alot of guys that slut shame and then complain when they can't get laid. It's frustrating because it makes it that much harder to wing.

I agree with you in principle. However, I think (and this is just my opinioin based on my experieces) that women place far greater weight on the slut shaming they receive from other women than from men.

Women are far more concerned with what their friends/other women think because they, i.e. the other women, can impose the worst consequence, i.e. ostracizing the "sluts" from the group for devaluing the common currency or just pure jealousy. Think about it, men love sluts because that is how we get easy sex, so why would a (pre-wall) chick care too overly much if a dude/dudes think she is a slut?

But if her friends think she is a slut and decide to punish her for it, that is a totally different ball game. Of course, because of hypo-agency and feminism, women can never admit that they do this to themselves, so naturally it is all because of the patriarchy.

What you dont seem to get is that the very notion that a double standard does exist and that it is valid and that many men would not like to have a slut for a LTR is already perceived and decried as slut shaming.

The moment you admit you know about TRP and are OK with its premise and would reject a woman with a high count you're a slut shamer.

i agree. generally, speaking negatively is a bad idea. act according to your beliefs, but don't speak of them unless it offers praise. it's easy because you don't have to deal with sluts if you don't want to. just let them do what they want and allow them to discover the consequences for themselves.

Here are my thoughts on sluts:

If they're fine with casual sex or friends with benefits arrangements, I don't have a problem with it regardless of their sexual history provided that they are std free and have had themselves checked.

If they are looking for a long term relationship from me, I'll simply tell them no. If they drop it after that, I have no problem with them. If they continually push for the reason, I'll answer them honestly regardless of their feelings.

I don't see the point of slut shaming women unless the person is asking honestly about why they can't have a serious relationship with guys. If you ask a honest question, you will get a honest answer. The person's feelings are never factored into that equation.
As they say, Ignorance is sometimes bliss.

I've been doing some reflecting lately. I've had a lot of success lately after getting over a four month long case of oneitis. One of the contributors to the length of my drought was some of my "friends." These guys are blue pillers who get pissed off that they can't snag snatch. Then, instead of introspection and trying to correct what it is about their approach, they slut shame. "That girl was a fucking whore," or what have you.

I guess it would help to give a bit more background. Many of us are regulars at a neighborhood bar. This bar is awesome. There are new single chicks in there all the time. It is a fucking gold mine. But, many of the guys I hang out with there just have no game. None. I try to teach them about TRP and Seddit, but they won't have any of it. Then they wonder why they can't get laid. Then they start shaming. Because we are regulars and it's smallish neighborhood, word sort of gets out. That's when shit gets hard.

Don't get me wrong, I go to other places with other friends and have success, but many of these places are no where near the gold mine that our neighborhood place is. It's disappointing.

Also, if you want to fuck the chick you're with, don't talk about any other girls you've fucked, the personal details, or how you feel about ONS. They will be afraid to fall into the categories you're talking about and be less willing to sleep with you.
