A very high value woman I know well gave me a complex postponement-type (maybe ?!?!) test today and I need immediate advice as to how to handle it.

I have a date in the middle of the day with her tomorrow. Today, I was demonstrating high value with her present (but engaged elsewhere). At the end of the day she positioned herself along the way to the exit and when I went to leave the venue I nodded to her going by, and she said, "Wait, I want to talk to you about something." Her body language was the I-am-about-to-test-you body language. So, I mirrored her and in a knowing way she said, "What would you think if I took the day off tomorrow. I want to go to the beach instead." So, I answered, "We could do the date at the beach." and she said, "No, I want to relax. I don't want to have to make myself presentable [smiling doing a little curtsy]." I balked and gave her the narrowed eyes without saying anything (my standard response to postponements is not to allow them). At that, she said, "It's ok, we'll do the date." I then showed mild concern and asked if she was stressed about anything. (I figured if she was backing down on the postponement, I could validate with a show of concern.) She of course said she was fine, so that ended it.

So, the complexity here is that it seemed strange that she backed down so quickly. It was almost as though she wanted to make the test easy for me. OR did I screw up and somehow I should have said, "take the day off" and let her go? In other words, was it actually not a postponement test, but a dependency test, which I failed by not allowing her to go her separate way? She definitely likes to have alone time at beaches and pools, so was she in fact checking to see if I was cool with her disconnecting. Basically it's complicated: was it (A) a postponement test or (B) a dependency test to see if I am clingy. Because if it's A then I passed, but if it's B I failed, BUT I have a chance to fix it, because I can still text her tonight that it's fine with me if she goes to the beach without me.
