Background: So I have three best friends, two of them are my closest bros and the third is a female. We'll call this female Jenny. Jenny and I have been super tight for quite a while. However, over the past 6 months, she's suddenly become super emotional at times because of difficulties with home life many miles away (we're both in college away from our homes), and she's dating a guy and I don't think they're a good fit, and college stress is piling up. Nevertheless, ever since they started dating, we of course hang out less. Not that I really care, it makes sense - I'm dating a chick as well (LTR) and so it makes sense that Jenny and I don't talk or hang out as much, but I would still consider us best friends.

Anyway, this emotional shit with Jenny getting stressed has recently climaxed to an all time high. She almost always talks pessimistically (which is annoying as hell) and hangs out with other girls that bring her down because they have awful personalities and are not attractive at all (I think she could do much better socially if she applied herself). Jenny involves herself into too much extracurricular stuff to the point that she has developed doctorally-diagnosed eating disorders from all the stress - it's ridiculously stupid, because the extracurricular stuff she does isn't even that significant. I've told her multiple times that she needs to lighten her load or else she's going to hurt herself, but she definitely hasn't heeded that advice.

Issue & TL;DR: She's one of my best friends, and today she texted me saying that she's broken down and been crying from all the stress. I am not trying to fuck her but I also do not want to be the typical white knight and say "Ohh what can I do for you? How can I help?" to the point that I become a submissive child. How would RP recommend that I deal with this without compromising my manhood?
