[this is a field report with discussion at the end; for this reason, and according to the rules, I did not submit to asktrp]

Hey all,

I'd like to begin this post by opening up the field report.

For reference, and in case it becomes relevant, I'm in my early 20s. In the gym that I frequent, I saw a woman I was attracted to, so after my workout I went ahead and began talking with her (in case anyone's interested in the details at this point, please let me know).

She was in my field (medicine) and fairly successful. Our first "date" was after gym at a coffeeshop, which went great. We ended up chatting and flirting for 2 hours (at which point I had to leave), and ended up planning our second date.

The second date came, and we where making out and super intimate within the first 10 mins. The same flirting and chatting went on for a couple of hours. After dropping her at her place, she teased me by bringing up inviting me over to her apartment in different contexts, and we ended up flirting and giggling like high schoolers 20 mins in front of my car (illegally parked; blocking entrance to parking) until this angry driver had me move my car. I did not push to go to her place, as I didn't feel the need, and I like to take things slow.

I just came back from my third date, and here's the issue. She knows that I'm not exclusive, and she mentioned that this bummed her, because she "was looking forward to inviting me over because I turn her on so much," but have sex non-exclusively "went against her beliefs."

Now, I mentioned that I enjoyed my time with her regardless (I actually did), dropped her off, and drove home. This has never happened to me before, so I'm facing a new situation.

Something tells me that I have a lot to learn from this situation. At least on one level, I feel that I was to turn her on even more, she would have budged in. So, that part of me says that I "backed down" when it was too early.

Given the controversial aspect of this subreddit, I'd love to hear your views and input on this situation, and what plan of attack would be advisable.

If there are any details missing, please let me know.
