Yeah, the truth of the matter is, Louis Lane is an uber bitch. She's constantly putting Klark Kent down. In the modern comics, they removed most of this from her personality because all modern readers would hate her if she remained true to her original self.

Clark Kent's stats are 6'3", 235 lbs. He would be a news anchor, not some lowly journalist. These characters were conceived with Great Depression ideals in mind. He has endured because he's an icon, not because of good writing.

We accidentally grabbed this Boys of Steel: The Creators of Superman book out of the library. It more or less comes right out and says the two betas were imagining a guy so awesome, that all girls would want him.

Try reading Garth Ennis' THE BOYS...if I remember correct the protaganist (that's right the hero) rapes his subordinate repeatedly because he knows she is a fucking evil cunt and deserves it...and she takes it because she knows that she wants to keep her job and the money and power that comes with it...kinda blew my blue pill comic book eyes up when I read it!
