First professional interview tomorrow, any TRP based advice?

No slouching, don't be afraid of eye contact, and ask questions about the people interviewing them, like how long they've worked for the company, what they think of it, etc. use "we" from time to time as it seeds the notion of camaraderie as if you're already working there. Stuff like that.

I'm 6'3 very muscular and fairly handsome so I understand all that puts me at a slight advantage as it gives me a presence.

This doesn't put you at an advantage bro, unless its a woman or man's man interviewing you. You think beta males want to hire the guy who looks like he kicked their ass all through high school? And trust me, in any corporation they far outnumber the alphas.

keep eye contact during hellos and "my name is", and smile, sit up straight, feet on the floor, no "relax" pose, stand until you are asked to sit
have a copy of your cv printed with you so if they for whatever reason do not have their copy you are golden, put nothing on the table (phone, keys, bag etc)
be likeable, whatever that means, if they like you personally they will most likely hire you even if you lack skills than more skilled candidate (women do well here ;))
be prepared for questions like "tell us about yourself". They will take a note on how you handle yourself, how confident you are. "Tell us about yourself" is a damn hard question to answer if you are not prepared for it (so is "what is your greatest weakness", "tell us how did you avoid crisis in your past job/failed a project and why?" "tell us what problems you had with your past superior?", "why do you want to work for us"). Stay on point. Tell them stuff they are interested in, stuff that will relate to your job.
learn about the firm. Ask questions during interview when they ask you if you want to know something. If interviewer is from your field of work (it might be only HR if this is few stages interview) ask specific questions, if not then don't go to deep on specifics cause they don't know the answer. You want to show them that you took interest in them and this is not just "oh, maybe I'll get lucky" interview, you want to work there.

Everyone has that problem where the interview is almost over and they say "any questions?" If you honestly don't have any, or even if you do, finish with "Is there any reason you wouldn't consider me for this position?" If you stump them, then the interview went great and you'll probably get it. If they give you a good reason like "we've already interviewed a lot of qualified candidates," then head home and start applying again m8. GLTU

I have no tips for the interview in particular. But for a redpill-type worldview of the work world, I highly recommend michaelochurch.wordpress.com. The "McLeod" series is what you're looking for.

lol in an engineering interview the best advantage is just to know what the fuck you are talking about. beyond that nobody doing the hiring expects or gives a shit about anything but to look decent and don't smell.

I hope this won't be too late, but speaking as a undergraduate in ME I just went through this a year ago and got a job. What I did was gather a lot of info on the company is was going to work for and went in to the interview with aggressiveness. I was calm and had accepted whether I would get the job or not.

I'll admit that just before the interview I was a little bit anxious but when it started I just answered what was asked, made some jokes and basically gamed them with body language and correct eye contacts (not too much but strong enough). I admitted to not being that up to date in this or that (some technical drawing programs) but said I was a quick learner and ready for anything they would throw at me.

When they asked me whether I had any questions, I dug up everything I had read on their company and questioned them on it even though I had no real interest in knowing it because it was irrelevant to me or because I already knew it. But it must've made an impression because I got the job.

don't be overobsessed with following every rule on here, you want to seem natural first and foremost, and you will come across weird if you try too hard

For anyone curious interview went extremely well. Interviewer was young and attractive so any anxiety disappeared pretty quickly. Her body language was pretty flirty as well. I meet with a higher up though in a week but he seemed like a cool guy so I'm pretty confident now.
