To find happiness I find you need to set yourself up a few lists.
Qualifications for a plate or ONS
Hardline Dealbreakers - she shows one of these she is nexted or reduced from any hope of an LTR to at best a plate
Your exact description of what your unicorn would be.
Understand that your unicorn will still be a woman and AWALT but once you understand that there is quality differences among women you can filter hard to find what you want. Filtering can be fun but time consuming.
I would argue having a hard fast list of deal breakers is something most guys don't have, but once you have know never to show it to woman especially if it disqualifies them. Nothing pisses off a girl more than the fact that YOU rejected them when that's their job.
As an example here is mine:
Deal breakers
No Single Moms
No Lawyers
No small dogs
No more than 1 cat - Preferably none, like animals but would rather own one when a house is in the picture
No Depression or history of such (Chronic not situational)
No Eating Disorders
No More than 26 BMI, ideally lower than 23
No hardcore religion - I'm an Atheist, no issue with others, but not converting
Not a vegetarian or gluten free
No rape or abuse history
No acholisim or addictions
Under 29 - I do want kids, but not in an immediate time frame, girls over 30 rush it.
Over 24 - Need common ground, girls I have dated under this are tougher to find it with.
I actually landed an amazing LTR who actually satisfied all of my lists and it has been awesome with her, but an LTR is hard mode and if you don't keep frame and lead then her attraction to you will wane. It's hard but fun work because as long as you know what you want, can read what she wants and then deliver, it seems to work out well.
As long as you are the prize she will happily follow.

Why no lawyers? What about professional women?
[–]gg_s 7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The legal system is particularly hostile towards men, and lawyers are skilled in it's use. It is foolish to welcome a financial terrorist in your home.
Professional women (careerists) earn their living through masculine competition in the workplace. It fosters unpleasant attitudes and sets a bad precedent for homelife. Same goes for rabid sports fans.
[–]Squeezymypenisy 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm in the profession. They are fun to fuck. But they are often crazy as shit. Its a problem because they have to act masculine to get ahead so they tend to be warped individuals. Its like female engineers. Law especially is competitive.

Have you ever met a sweet, feminine, professional female lawyer? I haven't and why would you want to be with someone professionally trained to beat you in an argument. There are so many single nurses, teachers, designers and marketing women that are sweet and feminine working jobs that suit them. Take a pass on the lawyer if you want long term happiness.

Teacher here. Unfortunately I don't think teaching is a very feminine profession anymore. Allow me to rephrase that - I don't think women teachers are very feminine. They are often intolerable and I prefer dealing with women who AREN'T teachers like I am. ]
If I had to characterize it i'd say that frequently they are idealistic to an absurd, frequently are petty authoritarians who don't like being questioned or challenged, they think they are MUCH smarter than they really are, and often believe their feelings trump reality. You'd think that being responsible for peoples' futures would persuade you to stop being crazy, but hey, AWALT.
edit: I want to add that I knew a lot of amazing women who were also teachers, but this was by far from the median behavior. I'm describing the more standard range. working abroad especially I have met a lot of women teachers who were remarkably feminine and loyal, but not as often in the USA.
[–]redpillspeeddate 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
There are non-feminine women in many many professions. The average American woman is going to be much less feminine than other nationalities.
I dated a few teachers and they were much better dates than any of the lawyers I encountered. I did find the teachers that were in their first year or two to be worth dating as they are looking hard for their mrs and want their own brats to take care of rather than other people's. They are trying so hard to show you how good of girlfriend they can be that it's a enjoyable experience, but once they learn that they are just a plate... Well it doesn't go so well.
Dating within your profession is always risky as the circles for when it doesn't work out can affect your career which is not worth it.

I think there may be some truth to your comment, and perhaps what I'm comparing more is the behavior of professional women where I live versus how I remember them in America. Maybe you're right about that.
But nevertheless, there is some truth to the fact that women who get involved in "social" disciplines... psychology, social work, [social group] issues, teaching, they tend to have internalized the modern university-type of left leaning social justice way of thinking. And amongst American women, I found serious professionals like engineers or programmers more interesting at times because they had more in common with a man's way of thinking and didn't drink the college age sjw way of thinking. Perhaps I'm misremembering the details or extent of this issue through my years since then, but this is how it appears to me in memory.
[–]redpillspeeddate 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You can find SJWs in any profession and sex for that matter. Thankfully we are not forced to date them.
Filter hard
[–]down_with_whomever 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Couldn't be more true. I've been saying this for years. Judgement of character is everything.
[–]redpillspeeddate 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Sadly the programmers and engineering girls are some of the worse SJWs out there.
[–]down_with_whomever 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
That sucks to hear. If you don't mind saying, what region gave you this impression?
[–]redpillspeeddate 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
San Francisco and Silicon Valley
[–]permashred 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Presumably because female lawyers use masculine energy in their profession - they use logic instead of feelings and that will bleed into other parts of their life, creating an abrasive and noncompliant partner.
[–]foldpak111 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
A lot of them make great friends, but they have a very masculine essence. You'll get the same feeling women when they find out the man they are dating is feminine. Not attractive.
[–]RedMoonAscendant 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This.
To better your odds, also go overseas. I picked Philippines due to strong families and defined male/female roles, and took with me a checklist much like parent's.
Yes LTR is RedPill in hard mode. Keep flirting with other women and keep yourself fit and alpha.
Be the captain. Make her 1st mate. Etc. Never forget the sidebar.

No gluten free
what if she has celiac disease and isn't on a silly fad diet?
[–]redpillspeeddate 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
If you want your life controlled by where she can and can't eat, then have at her. Personally, I enjoy someone that isn't so picky and making their health issues the center point of their lives.
There are other women to date that don't have chronic health issues.
[–]Ali0_o 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
to each their own I guess but since I got celiac disease I thought I'd ask if there'd be an exception but meh
Celiac's, Chron's and the whole host of digestive allergies and diseases suck. In your case actually finding a girl that shares your same issue can be a benefit, but this is my list.
Oddly enough the guys call me the most our on the lawyer and gluten free, where girls give me a hard time about the no rape, depression, weight or pets. It is amusing to see what each values.
[–]Ali0_o 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don't intend to date any powerful professional corporate woman. a woman in a high position is a turn off for me. some men like it but not for me.
Yeah digestive and intestinal problems do suck ass but it could be worse, we work around it.
what I really hate is girls who go gluten free just because its a fashion to have a gluten intolerance or such. I'm just like shut up bitch haha

You need to fully swallow the red pill. The reality might be grim, but you'll have to accept it, however unpleasant it might be.
Two points to keep in mind:
Women don't love the way men love. Also, AWALT.
You don't need somebody else to complete you. Live your life for yourself, the way you want it to. Enjoy the freedom that comes with being truly self-sufficient.

I should have written that part better.....
I meant long-term as in settling down in a long term relationship/marriage.
Edited my post, thanks for highlighting the ambiguity.

Didn't notice the " ' " before 16.
I'll have to rewrite my entire post now :/

Hardest part is that you know it's true, but you still hurt inside. Sadly taking the pill is not that easy, but it's better than the alternative.
[–]0io- 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Even if you find the perfect girl for you, you'll kill your long term relationship or marriage by acting beta all the time. It's a hardwired feature of women's brains.
Read over on the married red pill sub. Things will start off great, and in six months or a year she'll hate you and be miserable if you act too beta around her.
You might as well say "I hate bathing or brushing my teeth and I'm just going to sleep in the train station and never wash my clothes." Yes, plenty of men do this, but it's not attractive.
LTR is called "Red Pill on Hard Mode" for a reason. You have to maintain a baseline of alpha traits to sustain an LTR just the same way that you have to brush your teeth if you don't want them to rot out of your head.
[–]Dr_Shakalu22 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm extremely happy in my relationship, but it's not because I act beta. Not that I act full on alpha constantly, but my girl knows that I'm the man and she's the woman, and I'm driving. She cooks, bakes and cleans for me, and she pleases me sexually in every way possible. She has literally called me an alpha male before, and it works like this because I have come to learn AND apply plenty of RP principles to our relationship. I know that the relationship would not be as happy (for both myself and her) if I was still acting in blue pill ways. Now that you've been given the secret hiding in plain sight, why would you ignore it?
[–]cant_hold_me_down 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Terrible idea. The very ESSENCE of the Red Pill is that YOU WILL NEVER BE LOVED BY A WOMAN THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE.
It's simply not in their nature. You can absolutely find a very un-slutty girl with a low n-count, maybe even one with a 0, but that doesn't mean she will be any different that the mega-sluts with N-counts in the 4 digits. She will never love you unconditionally. She will never love you the way you love her.
If you can't accept that, you are still plugged into the matrix.
[–]thundercock2win 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's what still makes me grit my teeth and cringe at life, but I have faith that working through it will be better than the slow disaster of putting my head back in the sand.
[–]cant_hold_me_down -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That and the fact that even though you will never be loved the way you want to be, the quality of women can definitely improve. Why hypergamous behavior is definitely part of women's sexual strategy, it's not like women have no conscious control over their own behaviors. They simply aren't being given a reason to not act like shit heads at the moment. You don't have to go that far back in history to realize what we are experiencing is not a new phenomenon, nor is it irreversible.

Been there, in long term you lose. I was in same position several years ago, done the same thing, had the same conclusions... After a few whores I found the unicorn, I was her first, she had everything that I could ever want.
Fast forward several years after at the first moment of weakness (got hit by a car, had rough time recovering and lost my job and got fat due to lack of exercise in the process)- the unicorn in that I invested ton of time (10 years) and money just ran away as fast as possible. She didn't even waited to the moment where I would be able to take care of myself alone, it was really embarrassing to having my parents helping me for several months till I was partially recovered. Women care only about your status not about you at all, if you loose your status you are as good as dead for them.
Fast forward till nowadays- now I am quite happy that this car hit me. If it wasn't for the accident I would had married her and god forbid have children with her. In the process I learned that something is wrong with the world and women and this knowledge helped me to find the TRP and to fix my life after being shattered into pieces. Next time when I play the LTR game I would be a lot better prepared and I would have all of my tools in line in order not to get screwed again.
Currently I am spinning plates- catching up for the lost time, having fun, making good money, I look better in my late 20s then in my early 20s, I am a healthy, free and happy.
Good luck to you. I hope you would make the obvious choice.
[–]Sayer101 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
LTRs are hard mode. In life, where the stakes are highest, you should play through the game on the easier difficulties to increase your likelihood of getting through hard. You only have one checkpoint/life in the real world, all it takes is one slip up on hard mode and you've lost it all.
I wish you luck, hopefully this works out for the best for you.
[–]Dustin_Bromain 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My LTR is a very submissive girl that has a plethora of qualities that I really enjoy about her. However, she absolutely acts up from time to time, and that's where the TRP training comes in most handy. Dread game, busting shit-tests and acting dominant around her is key to the relationship. Always be the dominant player in the relationship. It's the way that a healthy LTR should be: a dominant, strong male leading the submissive, cute LTR around.
