I've seen every season of Black Mirror and this one is still my favorite. Possibly the most TRP film ever.

Saw it with my ltr, too. It was funny because she had a completely different take on the situation than I did and was creeped out by the main character and felt only sympathy for the wife (and it seems 90% of the black mirror subreddit did too)

This is a great piece of film. So genius how the interaction between the wife and the 3rd guy was portrayed.

On the topic of Black Mirror in a RP view, I also enjoyed the Jon Hamm episode. I'll try not to spoil it too much, but generally, Jon Hamm works as an assistant for BP boys wanting to get laid, and by using RP methods he does just that. Season 2 episode 4.

Amazing writing in the episode.

The way they make you want to think main dude is an insane controlling boyfriend but then it turns to be true is amazing. Great contradiction.

It's insane to me though that anyone could sympathize with the girlfriend... Gets caught lie after lie

I saw this a couple of months ago. I remember thinking my ex would be ridiculing this man from the start, while I kept enjoying how he would not be put off by her bullshit excuses. He was sticking with his gut and not going to lower his intelligence and convince himself that he was wrong.

Something that this film brings to mind:

When I was younger (mid 1980s) I bought a sound-activated mini tape recorder.

Decided to be all "James Bond" with it and leave it random places set to record upon sound.

It turns out that you maybe don't really want to know what is said when you aren't around. Your friends/family will vent to each other and try to suss out things together that sound judgmental and can be taken as offensive, but are really just people trying to get to the bottom of something without any PC politeness nonsense.

Remember, when encountering such things (esp. in light of our current cellphones-with-cameras lifestyle), that even the things which are about you, as in subject matter, aren't always only about you.
