I came, I saw, I set-up a date, and I'm pretty sure I failed. But, I think I know what I did wrong.

Disclaimer: cringe-worthy shit ahoy.

For those who read the first part, I have a class with this HB 7 (Seeing her without her glasses and in nice clothing, I'm calling her a 7.5 now) and after having a coffee date under the pretext that we were going to talk about green drinks and dieting tips, she had to go to NY for a work trip.

I sent her a text during the weekend. No reply. Yesterday, she came into class apologizing for not answered (as she was super busy, which I figured would happen), but thanked me for the kind gesture and wanted to talk to me more. As she said this, she got my attention by putting her hand on my back. I asked if she was busy tonight and we set up a date.

She came to my place and I had cooked her some food because she just got off work and I wanted to impress her (pretty sure this was a mistake. She liked the food, but in hindsight, I don't know if it helped me much).

After eating, I took her over to the couch and put on "The Cabin in the Woods" because there are a lot of saucy scenes. Originally, I was going to show her "The Big Bang Theory," but you guys convinced me otherwise. Wanted to show a really sexual art film (by suggestion), but my room mates were there and I wanted to watch something I find interesting.

During the movie, I put my arm around her and she leans into me and I talk into her ear as we watch the movie. After a bit, I then put my other hand on her thigh as she cuddles next to me. Then one of my room mates comes downstairs (couldn't get HB7.5 to go upstairs. I fail) and it breaks the mood a lot. I still manage to have her in my arms, but any momentum I had is gone. My room mate then starts cooking her dinner and has the stove fan on, making it loud, no longer dim-lit, and any mood that was there is gone.

My roommate leaves and I try to escalate by putting her hand into mine with the other under the elbow of her other arm with my thumb on the inside of her elbow. We exchange playful hand-squeezes and I can see her getting in the mood, but as I go in closer to kiss her, she is hesitant and giggles. She wouldn't turn her head so I kissed her on the cheek and said some pretty corny things (not intentionally. Just ended up doing it) and she says she's "okay where we are at right now." I said "ok" and made the mistake of still holding on to her. I should've let go and distanced myself...ugh...I then tried to make her laugh by saying "just so you know, I'm a flirt." She laughs and says, "Oh, really? I couldn't tell" and looks at me behind her. The rest of the movie, I just hold her in my arms and get nowhere. During the movie, she told me she danced and had a stripper pole. I joked about it and commented on how that fit her so well since she's studying sex-therapy and marriage counseling. Got a good laugh out of her.

We talked for a bit after that and had some good laughs. She then says something along the lines of, "You know, had you not pushed further, we probably would've just gotten coffee that day" and I said, "Oh yeah?" She responded by saying, "Yeah, I'm not really all that social." I walked her back to her car, hugged (she gave me a genuine hug though. Not that it says much), and she said she'd see me tomorrow in class.

The uber beta in me wants to say maybe she's not easy or that maybe her educational background (she's also quite composed) influenced what happened, but I know better. I blew it. Hard. I'm happy that I managed to get the date, but pissed that I couldn't get her in bed. Just shows how I still have to learn/internalize.

Overall, have I ruined any chance I have with her? Or if we ever do hook up, will I be nothing more than BB?
