brother in law (A) just got a new woman(B), gonna marry her, and invited my wife (C) (and me obviously because I'm her husband) to be their bridesmaid and groomsman. ok, truly an honor, no sarcasm.

[the incident]

later on talking etc...

me: I'm gonna prepare a good speech and will rock the shit out of it (jokingly speaking)

B: my love (looking at A), I guess the wedding is so full of stuff that there will not be any time for speeches and stuff.

[context: the wedding ceremony of our culture does indeed provide space and encourage people to make these speeches]

[shit test lobbed: covertly saying that she doesn't want me to speak at the wedding ceremony]

[context2: I'm known to speak what I think, to be honest, and not use covert communication, B first met me 1 week ago and already understood this]

B: but maybe at the party there will be time to make these speeches.

[shit test failed: I didn't Identify the shit test, didn't give any response, I didn't even understood she was covertly saying that she didn't want me to speak at the ceremony]

I only notice the shit test the day after, when I was walking down the street doing other stuff and suddenly this came to my mind.

[conclusion]

I'm reading NMMNG and halfway through TRM, and man I'm starting to hate covert communication and covert contracts, and I'm hating them because how truly and how silently they crawled into our society.

tldr:I'm hating how I discovered that people use covert communication for nearly everything
