There is a point to be made in that comic, however they sort of missed the point of what the "friend-zone" is.

If you really aren't willing to not sleep with them, are you really friends? Are you really all that nice?

Who the fuck cares. That's not the point.

The problem with friend-zoning is it ALWAYS happens, not that it happens once in a while. If it wasn't so frequent, it wouldn't be a big deal.

The other issue is 90% of the time the girl doesn't treat you like a friend. She turns you into her Fluffer, an orbiter, a workhorse with false hopes of booty, a friend-ATM, any number of things that all have a common theme, she's not friends with you she's just using you.

I have in my time had friends that were chicks who didn't use me. We were just friends. And that was awesome. They'd let me know what parties had the hot girls. I'd bring my crew of good-looking guys. And occasionally we'd talk about things that we both found interesting. This was all social proof that benefited us both.

But the latter example is few and far between. The "friend-zone" isn't a place where you're both actually friends. It's a place where only the guy acts as a "friend", but the girl treats him very differently.

I used to hate the idea of the FZ.

Now, I find it serves as a blatant showing of how TRP applies to life.

A woman will use you. Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta, it doesn't matter. A woman will use you. Is she using you for dick and conflict-feels? Congrats. Is she using you for time and reassurance feels? Welp, FZ'd. A woman will use you.

Be sure to have 0 qualms about using them first or simply getting the fuck out of the "friendship" if it doesn't do anything for you.

Women who get upset at the FZ term, I'd wager they do it because a: the idea of a man wanting them (that they aren't wet for) is "creepy", and b: chances are good that they don't contribute equally to the "friendship", and have been accepting the man's time/money/effort like the shameless little attention addicts they are.

If anything, being confronted about zoning is almost the same as simply calling her on her BS. I don't think the FZ'er in the comic even believed half that shit she was saying... just projecting the lovely ideal of what friends actually are, something that's better understood by men anyway, since again, she probably hasn't been contributing equally... just soaking up all of a romantic's attention.

Hard to say if real or a very good parody of solipsism, because:

Driving home safely = not raping.

Be a friend = treat like a human being.

I mean if it is real: doesn't she know the way we usually treat most human beings, including passed out girls is ignoring them? And anything positive given is an extra over what is expected?

Or is it a parody of entitled female thinking who thinks people owe her attention and help?
