Looks like you failed to react properly once she crossed a line. If you let her behave like that without consequences she will only push further and further. That's how women (and even men) are.

When given reasonable boundaries, men, on aggregate, will stick to them. Sure, lesser men tend to bitch and moan, but as soon as someone executive of said boundaries enters the room they'll zip it in an instant. In case someone notices (or rats you out) and you can give reasons as to why the rules are dumb while holding frame, you may get lucky.
Other times you'll be done with and receive the boot.

Bingo. Give people an inch... they take a mile. As soon as they lose respect for you, the attraction drops and they actually feel even more pissed that they are stuck with a guy that they feel so little respect for. Then they push more.. and you put up with more. Ugly cycle that could be squashed immediately with a stern "No. That's not a good thing you're doing. Stop it." early on.

There was a post on TwoX a while ago about a woman whose hamster wheel broke, and she realized the whole problem with her relationship was her. The post went viral and was reposted on a number of websites.
She realized that she was a colossal and demanding cunt, and had been criticizing her husband endlessly over the dumbest things. Once she realized that her husband really wasn't a bad guy and treated her 10x better than she treated him, she felt bad and wanted to change.
I think her post created so much controversy on TwoX that the mods had to lock and delete the post. ("Shhh! We can't let a bunch of unhappy women realize their husbands are actually descent guys who will change a flat tire for them in the rain! Think of the chaos if women actually appreciated their men!")

As much as I WISH a woman wrote that article, there's just too much self-awareness and introspection for me to believe it. But I don't doubt for a second that the mods at 2x went apeshit to scrub it from the sub.
