TL;DR From beta to alpha in one mindboggling step

Obligatory Intro I found TRP about a month ago and have been lurking. I'm in my early 30s and have the usual beta story background (divorced, low SMV partners, LTR, comfortable, etc.). I moved to a big city recently and had a LTR as soon as I got here that was a really fun girl, but very low SMV who became overly attached and I had no way of breaking it off easy. Eventually I did that and was depressed and wandering around for months, until I found here.

After reading for about a month, culminating in a series of terrible shitstorms in my personal life outside dating, I decided to fuck it all and man up. I went out and went to a speed dating meetup. I figured I would have a good time, go with no expectations, and at the very least get a shit ton of practice in a short period of time.

The Scene When I first got there, it looked terribad. The ratio was abominable, probably 25 guys and only 6 girls. The dudes were laughing it up and having a good time with each other because what are the fucking odds right? A few even left before meeting the girls.

Mr. Fucking Alpha I want to point out one guy in particular who was displaying "alpha as fuck" personality traits, talking to the guys about his plates, and how he had to dump one because she had kids and he didn't want to be a baby daddy, etc. I thought FOR SURE, this guy was going to rock the hottest one there, even though physically he was probably only a 5 or 6, just on his personality alone. He even went so far as to refuse a name tag because he was "just seeing what was here", and literally asked only to sit with the hottest girl there (denied by the host).

After the dating rounds, he scored nothing, stuck around for a bit and then took off, seeming kinda mad he didn't get anywhere.

My Dirty Bit Now for my story. I rocked the night. I didn't buy into any of the "where are you from" bullshit questions that they try and make you ask and controlled every conversation. I told the first one (the "hot" one) I thought this whole thing was bullshit, and as such we should just bullshit instead of finding out about each other. She ate it up like a big ol' ham sammich. I actually enjoyed talking to her too, because it wasn't forced and I controlled the eb and flow of the conversation.

With the rest of them I did pretty much the same thing. I'm a writer at heart, so I had no problems whipping out crazy scenarios and keeping them interested, which let me tell, absolutely baffled me that women ate this shit up. In my entire life I had done NOTHING but romance and feminine wooing. No wonder I was stuck with low SMV! TRP was right, women want to be entertained, and luckily, I fucking love entertaining people.

After the dating, most of the guys just left (you get your matches later), and I stuck around with some of the girls. They actually wanted to know about me with the prompting of the dating, bought us drinks, and despite it being late and a weeknight, were sticking around even as the guys petered off one by one. Eventually, hottie starts flirting hard with me. We go over to a dance club nearby and invite the rest of the people, but they all say it's getting too late. Just me and her.

I exclaim I can't dance worth shit, but I do have rhythm and I'll fucking dance anyway. She says something similar and we go out and work the floor like we're electrocuted cats. We start to make out on the floor, at this point TRP shit is just pouring through my brain that I cannot believe I was missing out on this fun. Not only was I making out with the hottest girl from the sausage fest pickings she had, but I'm actually enjoying myself by not just pouring all my energy into what I perceive to be satisfying the other person (epic beta activity).

We go outside and we are completely sober at this point, it's like 1 AM. We keep making out and I suggest we go somewhere quieter like my place. She says something to the effect "isn't that kinda fast?" and I just let it blow by like the wind and kiss her again. I tell her I'm going to get my coat and she waits for me outside.

We go back to my place while she says something to the effect "I hope you won't be disappointed if I just pass out at your place". I don't say anything to it again. We inside and I let her get a little comfortable before we proceed to fuck like goddamn wild animals. She can't wait to meet me again.

So wow, shit works.

A little about me, so maybe I can get some insight as to what I did well because I'm still in awe a bit.

  • I'm narcissistic by nature. I can't help it, I like the way I look and always try to improve.
  • I dress well, I have good fashion sense, in part maybe because I hang with gay guys at times (I'm bi, which the hottie mentioned after fucking was something she totally wanted to get into)
  • I'm really skinny. This clashes with my narcissism at times, but I'm trying to bench up.
  • I'm well off, and have my own place.
  • I have a sex drive through the roof.
  • I have zero shame, I've done nude beaches, spas, bike rides, you name it
  • I have no feminine mannerisms, but I do have a somewhat feminine face. Good looking though IMO (at least a 7 and that's with my skinny ass body)

One last bit, the part that really kicked this off was during an outing with friends while I was beta hitting on a girl, her complete cunt of a drunken friend started trying to fight me out of the blue. Being the beta I was acting like, I let them cart ME out of the door, even though I was the sober one, after I started yelling back at her (yeah, I let it eventually get to me when she got up in my face). That's another story though.

I do have one question, what do you theorize the alpha male of the team did to fuck up so badly? None of the girls even wanted to talk to him.
