Next time you watch a sporting event, watch the victor's body language after the match, especially after an upset or a long, drawn out battle. How is he positioned? Nearly always, the winner releases a primal roar, makes himself appear bigger, and flexes a muscle in some way. When Tiger Woods sinks a long bender on 18, he assumes this pose. When some random linebacker at your old high school sacks the QB, he and his teammates act as if they're in combat. Competitors who were born blind mimic the former two without ever seeing a competitor celebrate; these traits are innate. Our brain has been hard-wired to establish a dominant body language post-victory. Why? Evolutionary psychologists believe it is a result of the surge in testosterone levels after an accomplishment.

Sportscasters often use war as a metaphor for sports because sports are an abstraction of war. Both require the combatants to rely on vigor and instinct as they navigate the game; a win in strategy or "theory" can be attributed to the manager, coach, or caddy. If we're playing baseball, I'll take a lineup of hungry Dominicans over the best nine statisticians in the Ivy Leagues. Furthermore, a plethora of average ball players make terrific coaches, but awesome players fail to be above average. Theory is only going to get you so far.

This is why Gunwitch was my favorite pick-up artist during the two hour gap between reading the basics of his method and learning he shot a club bitch in the face. He understood the benefits of being a primal, high test male with regards to approaching women. Overthinking is neuroticism, and neuroticism is inherently an unattractive quality. The "jerk" phenomenon is a result of this; the "douchebag on a motorcycle" isn't obsessing over indicators of interest. If you asked him what a "neg" was, he wouldn't know. He's just a high test male who won the genetic lottery. You're the homeless guy at the gas station buying tickets with pennies.

Turn your mind off. If you're like me, you've studied this shit enough to major in it, and you're paying for it. You don't want to be the dude at the gym with eight inch arms laughing at how wide someone's close-grip bench is. Act primal. Ask yourself what a caveman would do in your situation while picking up girls. Touch them, and don't question whether it was the right time.
