TD:LR – Remember the concept of buying temperature, and strike whilst the iron is hot.
My Dad is natural-caveman alpha. I am his son.
I wrote a recent post describing how to throw a party, it was after this post I realized two things; at the last party I threw, my Dad was the reason I got laid. And secondly, it had a lot to with an old concept from the pickup era of “the game” that younger readers may not be familiar with – buying temperature.
Set the Scene – I arrange a surprise belated birthday party for a very close friend of mine at my apartment. The invitation list includes; my parents, his mother and sister, and a lot of mutual friends. I over invite on the women, and the total number of attendees was around 40.
As it’s a surprise party people are assembling in my apartment whilst I keep the birthday boy busy – I’m at his place with him getting ready, we’re making a quick pit-stop at mine on the way out, little does he know, that pit-stop is the last stop. Back at my place the people are gathering, one of which is my Dad. I was later told – he came marching in with a bowl of rice and pot of curry on his shoulder. (I had asked people to bring food to share if they wanted – a few girls brought a few things – and a few didn’t deliver what they’d said, thinking about it that curry saved the day in terms of food).
Fast forward – the surprise happens, everyone is in good spirits, etc, etc, etc. At this point my Dad breaks the goat curry out. People are generally a bit tentative so he assumes the role of leader, and starts plating rice and curry for everyone, and handing it out. In hindsight, this small piece of leadership was really well done by him. There wasn’t enough curry and rice for everyone to have big portions, so he basically did medium portions for everyone that wanted it and a few that didn’t! My mum cleaned up.
Fast forward another 3 hours and the party is at its peak around 23:00-00:00 and my dad is chatting up everyone, and the girls love it. He’s doing dad dance moves that are absolutely shocking, crucially, he’s way confident and for some reason that makes people think he’s actually a really good dancer. At some point he got too drunk and my mum basically decided to take him home. It’s fair enough, he’s 65 and it was about 01:00.
A couple hours later people have left I end up banging some sexy ginger. What interested me was the conversation after. We started talking about how much of a party animal my Dad is when she chips in with “He came in with that curry and said ‘hello girls, wow there’s a lot of women in here!’ – and that’s when I knew - he’s my guy” – She was absolutely swooning as she told me this, and we had a little giggle about it.
A few weeks later I came back to this in my mind and remembered the concept of “buying temperature” which essentially means that once a woman has been warmed up to the prospect of sex / making out / fill in the blank, it’s a lot easier to pull her. Once PUAs they realized this, they went around clubs stealing girls that had already had their buying temperature raised by other guys. It also helps us to understand how sometimes you could be with a girl in a club getting hot and heavy, turn your back for five seconds and she’s with someone else.
My own Dad had apparently charmed this ginger, with his goat curry and dance moves, and later that night, I reaped the rewards – whilst her temperature was still hot, cheers dad.
